Hello dear hive community, today I come with a different topic we are going to talk about reptiles, in my childhood days I lived in a town and the Iguana was like a pet but you could not play with it since it is very agile and nervous about what he could only enjoy his odyssey in the trees.
Hola querida comunidad de hive, hoy vengo con un tema diferente vamos a hablar de reptiles, en mis tiempos de niñez vivía en un pueblo y la Iguana era como una mascota pero no se podía jugar con ella ya que ella son muy agiles y nerviosas por lo que solo podía disfrutar de sus odiseas en los arboles.
Currently I live in the City of Maracay, it is recognized as The Garden City of Venezuela has many green areas as well as good squares and it is very common to see iguanas, insects, birds and even squirrels living together tranquility in the heart of our streets, this is how I share with you that last few days I was in the Girardot square and I had the opportunity to enjoy being very close to a wonderful Iguana, I could not touch her due to security measures but you could tell that it didn't bother him that I could take pictures of him.
En la actualidad yo vivo en la Ciudad de Maracay, es reconocida como La ciudad Jardín de Venezuela tiene muchas aéreas verdes así como buenas plazas y es muy común ver una iguanas, insectos, aves e incluso ardillas conviviendo en total tranquilidad en el corazón de nuestras calles, es así que les comparto que días pasados estuve por la plaza Girardot y tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar de estar muy cerca de una maravillosa Iguana, no la pude tocar por medidas de seguridad pero se notaba que no le perturbaba que yo pudiera tomarle fotos.

viven en los árboles y son unas expertas escaladoras en algunos casos cuando se sienten en peligro es increíble verlas corriendo por el tallo de los arboles o en otros casos defenderse con su cola, en la altura de los arboles pueden alimentarse, reproducirse pero la mayor cantidad de tiempo la pasan resguardándose o durmiendo. La altura para ellas no es problema pueden caer y no les pasa nada.

En casi toda Venezuela, se puede observar este animal son de color verde y gris oscuro, las hay de diferentes tamaño pero cuando están jóvenes son de un color verde intenso, su cola puede alcanzar un largo de hasta un metro y pueden pesar más de dos kilos.
En algunas regiones de Venezuela se acostumbra comer los huevos de iguana, practica muy mala porque las abren precariamente y en las mayoría de los casos estas iguanas mueren.
In the same way, my niece @carlagonz shared a photo of another square in this same city where there are also iguanas, they are so used to sharing with people so they approach and do not attack or run away, they are not domesticated but they are free to enjoy all their surroundings, it is normal to see security personnel and gardeners in the city squares who care for, conserve and guarantee the well-being of all elements including animals, that is why this type of reptile lives off a happy way in our beautiful garden city.
De igual forma mi sobrina @carlagonz me compartió una foto de otra plaza en esta misma ciudad donde también hay iguanas, ellas están tan acostumbradas a compartir con las personas por lo que ellas se acercan y no atacan ni salen corriendo, no están domesticados pero son libres de disfrutar todo su entorno, es normal ver en las plazas de la ciudad la ciudad personal de seguridad y jardineros que cuidan, conservan y garantizan el bienestar de todos los elementos incluyendo los animales, es por ello que este tipo de reptil vive de una manera feliz en nuestra hermosa ciudad jardín.

I saw a Iguana up close once in a park, before that I'd only seen them on TV. Still I don't fancy reptiles much.
BTW you should check out some of the communities in ocd's incubation program. i think you would find some interesting communities to subscribe to and post in.
