The Silence in a Crowded Place |
One of the most boisterous spots in a mall is a children's games room. The sound of the music was pounding like being in a discotheque. Usually, this playground is at the top level so as not to disturb others, despite the fact that the sound often causes noise everywhere.
It's not just kids, adults spend a lot of time (and money) there too. When bosa is waiting, people prefer to spend more time there than waiting at the bookstore which is also located in the mall.
However, since the Covid-19 pandemic the place has been as lonely as a cemetery. That is what is seen in a playground at Center Point, a mall in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Almost no one there, even on the weekends. People feel more comfortable at home than they are exposed to the virus.
So, this is how silence looks in a place that is usually very crowded. Miscellaneous game machines freeze cold, expecting a touch from little hands trying different kinds of games.
Wait for Covid-19 to pass. The bustling place will be as busy as it used to be. But when? No one knows.[]
