As Short As A Cigarette

The time I spent with her only lasted as long as a cigarette, that's the way I feel about the whole thing.

She was someone I've never wanted to leave behind. I started smoking also near those times, beautiful days and beautiful people.

I still remember the friends starting to mock me with her, I always kept an attitude like I was not onto her, I wanted my friends to believe that.

It was hard but I don't want to be a lover at that time. I felt like there's a lot of time left to spend with her.

That afternoon's where the fun part, the lunchtime. At that time we all will be together and mostly concentrated on attacking the lunch boxes which opens first.

There's been a lot of talk and laughter. I always tried to talk with her at those times, asking water and other little chit chats.

It's all been fun, there's also moments of tension and fear. One was a small festival celebration at college, one of my friends got drunk and he wasn't even able to take a step.

It's hard to hide him in the college, we knew that we could be caught any time with him in that state. Finally with a few minutes of hard work we put him inside the car and drove towards the safest place we had.

It's the where there are more memories than the college itself, There was an area little bit away from college, near a small pond and full of bushes.

There'a bridge under which there was a small stream. It's the place we used to smoke. We put him inside those bushes and waited for him to be normal.

Not much people take that path to leave the college, it was some kind of forbidden path, but not for us. I still remember a day when she caught me smoking and coming back from that road.

It was something I was not expecting. She texted me a lot that night about this smoking thing. I eventually quit.

Now I don't know where she is, but the cigarette came back. When l look back now all these memories are feeling like they were as short as those cigarettes.
