Sun and Lake Fun

avatar

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Had a great few days off from work. Week two of hopefully a dozen more spent at the lake house. We did a lot of cleaning up with some rakes, garden shears and a pole saw. It was a lot of fun and great exercise for me to get out there and get working! Plus got about three days worth of some fantastic, free vitamin D!

Peaceful

Wanted to share the view from the deck. The deck itself is in shambles unfortunately but hopefully her uncle and I will rebuild the deck this summer, he said he wanted to hire a bunch of guys to do it but if he helps guide me, I think we can get it done ourselves with my current skills. I’ve certainly got almost all of the tools needed except for a table saw and a chip saw. He’s got all of that though so I’ll propose the idea to him soon, hopefully we get a couple days with the weather being in the low 80’s instead of the 90’s it was today.

Besides the cleaning we did today, I put together this really nice Adirondack chair. It was on sale at the store so we picked up 3! Hoping that no one steals it, there is a few assholes like that around unfortunately. The chair was really comfortable and we got it so her uncle can sit down and hang out with us while we are out there, he’s got some issues with his knee but didn’t have a suitable chair to sit with us. Now he does!

There’s also a few oak trees that are on my list to cut down. You can see one next to the fire pit there.

You can also see the oak tree trying to grow up through the deck! It was really funny when I saw it. It’s crazy how aggressive the oaks are. There were at least 40 little sprouts all around! They are really hard to pull up too, I was shocked! I tried to think I was a badass and grabbed a few by the base only to strain and then just rip the leaves not the actual roots hahaha I felt pretty embarrassed. Luckily I bought these fantastic garden shears at my favorite harbor freight tools store. Love that store!

Fish

So the other amazing part about the place is he’s right next to a private beach! We have access to it since he’s a resident and well it’s directly on the other side of his fence lol so the little man was going nuts! He was a little fish while I was doing work. I think he swam for a solid 90 minutes! The wife also bought him an awesome captain America swim suit, he was a total stud with the ladies on the beach. We are in trouble!

What is the advantage of sharing the posts you post here on twitter?

Sharing them on twitter with the post tag here on hive, posh, and on twitter #posh is a way to promote the platform to other places and people who may not know much or anything about hive. This is a way to get them to sign up to use hive and become another active member of the community. The more people we get to sign up the better we become as a platform.

There are a team of people going around here on hive looking for posts that have posh on it and a link to the tweet. They then will vote on the post to give it some decent rewards to thank them for sharing it on another platform as well as to convince them to keep doing it.

In my post tags here I use posh as one of them. Then on twitter, in my tweet I explain what my post is and add a few tags like #posh among others.

If you have a twitter account I would suggest doing the same!

I Understood. After that i decided to use #posh. Thank you very much for the information. Good thing you said.

For sure! I honestly don’t use discord much, with my focus on being on here to get connected to people. You can add me and drop some questions but I think I check it once a week unless I have an issue that requires me to get on there and use it.

@cmplxty#1480 is my discord info. If you add me I’ll add you back and will try to answer any questions you have or give any tips!

One thing that’s nice is to just post about fun things in your life like this. Some people focus on doing all tech, all crypto and the like but lots of people don’t care about that, they want to see normal stuff so there’s lots of us that just post normal life things.
