Murphy's Law is when something goes wrong it all goes wrong. I find it funny when teams complain about injuries and lack of players and then lose one or two more giving them a real reason to complain.

Tottenham Hotspur are trying to break into the top 4 in the Premier League to earn a place in Europe next season. They are Still in this years Champions League, but have no chance as they have no strikers left. You can make players play out of position defensively getting away with a make shift plan, but goal scoring is different.

If you look at who has scored the teams goals this season you will understand why they are in a pickle.

  1. Harry Kane 17 goals (injured)
  2. Son Heung-Min 16 goals (injured)
  3. Deli Alli 8 goals
  4. Lucas Moura 7 goals
  5. Erik Lamella 5 goals.

After that it is a lottery who has scored as it is not really worth mentioning. Kane will be back in may apparently and Son is out for the rest of the season.

This is the first time I have heard Mourinho say he is in trouble as he has no one. Tottenham need to win games and that means you have to score goals. The lost against RB Leipzig last night as they couldn't score one goal.

They have 12 games left in the Premiership and how many of those can they realistically win now without a proven goal scorer. I would have given them a chance of top 4 before Son was injured, but now it looks very remote and somewhat distant. Mourinho's comment I found funny which was"I was worried about not having attacking options on the bench; now I don't have attacking options on the pitch." That about sums it up and all you can do is try and find goals somewhere.

I have no idea what he has in the academy and maybe it is about time these teams have some sort of backup. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and shove someone with no experience into the limelight. Look at where Jamie Vardy came from (4th division) and Marcus Rashford. Someone needs to step up and make a name for themselves as when does an opportunity like this ever arise. Perfect for someone to put their talent and name under the spotlights.

Looking at how bad things are I believe that Sheffield United ,Manchester United,Arsenal or Everton have more of a realistic chance right now of taking Chelsea's current number 4 spot and not Tottenham.

Mourinho cannot be blamed for this predicament he finds himself in right now and Mr Levy needs to give them funds to put a proper squad together for next season. They sold Eriksen and loaned out Rose, but they are short of at least two strikers to cover for the unthinkable. I recall Kane was out for some time last season as well only returning for the Champions League Final.
