Anyone watching Attack on Titan?
Well, only the first season of this anime is available on Netflix in the United States and Canada. It’s too bad... I’m watching it on Crunchyroll and season 4 is getting real gooooood.
To anyone deciding to watch it for the first time, I should mention that it is a bit gory and I had night mares after watching each episodes, but only for the first season. It was ok after that.
Anyways, I thought it would be fun to draw something from this anime while I’m still excited about it. Also, I recently downloaded a new brush tool for Clip Studio Paint and I thought drawing Eren as a Titan with it would be great.
The brush is called Zassara Paintbrush Oil Wind. It’s probably a bad google translation from Japanese. The brush is designed to create oil paint like strokes.

進撃の巨人観てますか？
第4期、始りましたね〜いやいや、みんな成長していて驚きました。
ミカサは相変わらずカッコイイ！そしてリヴァイ兵長！！！兵長〜〜〜！！！と叫びそうになりました。先週のエピソードではほんのちょっと出てきただけですが、やはりカッコイイ。
まだ観てないです、これから観ますって方にちょっと注意ですが、グロいです。特に第1期、私は観る度に怖い夢見てました、笑　その後のシーズンは大丈夫だったですけどね。
さてさて、兵長のお顔を拝見出来て興奮がおさまらないうちに何かを描きたいなと思い、巨人のエレンを描きました。
兵長はですね、はっきり言って難しいです。描けません、笑
Clip Studioの厚塗り用のブラシツールをダウンロードしたのでザッっくり塗れそうな巨人がいいかなと。。。

Rough sketch

スケッチ

I’m skipping the lineart and colouring right on the sketch. Actually, the sketch layer is on the very top so I’m technically not colouring right on the sketch but you know what I mean ;) I’m using less layers than usual. I’m painting like I would be painting on the paper.

今回は線画は描かずに色塗りします。厚塗りという描き方がこれで良いのか分かりませんが、スケッチレイヤーを一番上に置いて、他のレイヤーもいつもより少なめでどんどん色を重ねていきます。

I’ve never drawn so fast. I think the brush strokes could be cleaner but what a fun way to draw! I think the new brush took me to a new level.

出来上がり！
最速で描けました。ザクザク描いたので雑な仕上がりですが、こういう描き方も良いですね。
このブラシいいです。どんどん描けそうな気分です。
