Tough Earbuds / タフなイヤホン

Do you have any items that are lasting longer than expected?

These are my oldest daughter’s earbuds. I originally found them in a box when I was helping my friend unpack during their move. It was the earbuds that came with an old iPhone. It was never used and ended up in the corner of my friend’s drawer so I grabbed it for my daughter.

My oldest daughter is a Miss always losing her earbuds. If there were a book about it, she would be the model for that book. She is always looking for her earbuds.
4 or 5 of her earbuds were eaten by our cat in the past because she leaves them out all the time. Our cat loves chewing on the thin wires.
She broke and lost many of them as well. I stayed away from expensive earbuds for that reason even though the sound is not so great. Well, my daughter spends her own money to buy things she needs nowadays. I think she invested in wireless earbuds. She doesn’t have to worry about our cat destroying them but I still see her looking for them all the time.
I don’t understand how she can misplace things so often. I think I found her call phone in the fridge once...

Anyways, this iPhone earbuds on the photo above was given free from my friend and has been with my daughter for about a year now. It has been machine washed 5 times and machine dried 5 times. It is always scrunched up in her pocket like this. I literally pulled it out of my daughter’s pocket and put it on the table to take a photo...and...it was STILL ALIVE.

I’m amazed how it’s still working fine after going through this much of rough handling.
Is this because they are Apple earbuds? Actually now I think of it, my Sony earbuds (about $45)is lasting over 2 years...although I keep it in my purse nicely. My youngest daughter rough handles her Sony earbuds. It’s always tangled badly but it is lasting over 3 years...hmmmmm...but her new kitty cat ear headphones(found at Winners) she got for Christmas is already broken 😭
Is it the brand? Or do the earbuds always last this much? May be we are just lucky...I don’t know but I hope they last longer.

Do you prefer wireless earbuds? I bought myself wireless ones for Christmas. I like them but I can’t use them for too long. It doesn’t hurt my ears but my ears get warm and tired.
Do you misplace things often?

びっくりするほど長持ちしてるアイテムってありますか？

上の写真は長女ちゃんの愛用しているイヤホンです。私がお友達の引っ越しを手伝っている時に見つけた、結構前のiPhoneについてきたイヤホンです。引き出しの隅で誰にも使われずに眠っていたので娘にと譲ってもらいました。

我が家の長女ちゃん、イヤホンをよくなくすのです。先日も家の中をうろうろ探していました。
その辺にポイっとしておくので、過去に4つか5つのイヤホンを我が家のニャンコにかじられて壊されています。ペッパーは細いワイヤーを噛むのが好きなんです。
他にも壊したり、なくしたり、いくつもイヤホンを買わされている私です。最近は自分のバイト代で買ってくれるので私のお財布は安全ですが、いくつもいくつも勿体無いですよね。
最近自分でワイヤレスのものを買ったらしく、そちらを使っていることもありますが、やっぱりよく探しています。ペッパーにかじられる心配はないですけどね。どうしたらそんなに物をなくすというか、どこかに置き忘れることが出来るのか、私には理解が出来ません。
前に一度、携帯電話がないと家中探して冷蔵庫から出てきた事がありました。

さてさて、この写真のイヤホン、タダでもらってきて約1年使っていますが、なんと5回も洗濯機で洗われて、乾燥機にも5回入ってぐるぐる回されても生きているタフなイヤホンです、笑　（ポケットをチャックしてから洗濯しない私のせいではありません。家族にはそれぞれがポケットを空にしてから洗濯に出すよう言ってあるはず、笑）
常にこの様にクシャッとぐるぐるにされて長女ちゃんのポケットに入れらているイヤホンくん、先日次女ちゃんのポケットからひょこっと顔を出していたので、引っ張り出してテーブルに置くと写真の通りです。
まだ生きていました。
すごくないですか？5回も洗濯されてまだ使えるなんてすごいです。これってアップルの製品だからなんでしょうか？
あぁ〜でも私の４５ドルくらいで買ったソニーのイヤホンは2年以上使っています。大切に使っています。でも壊すの大好き次女ちゃんのは私のお古で3年以上使えてるのもすごいな。。。
クリスマスに買ってあげた猫耳のヘッドホンはもう壊れちゃいましたけどね 😭
イヤホンってすぐに壊れてしまうイメージですが結構丈夫なのかな？ただのラッキー？
まあどちらにしても、これからもずっと長持ちして欲しいです。

皆さんは何か予想以上に長持ちして重宝しているアイテムってありますか？
ワイヤレスのイヤホンの方が好きですか？　私はクリスマスにワイヤレスのものを買って、気に入っていますが、長時間使えないんですよね。耳が痛くなることはありませんが、耳が熱くなって疲れます。
よく物をなくす事がありますか？
