It's Children's Day in my Country Today

It's Children's Day in my country and down here, everyone celebrates it from Schools to Churches and Mosques.
Growing up, I never really liked kids mostly because they were limited in ability and freedom. I myself didn't like the fact that I was one. But many years down the line after getting my O'level, I got an offer by a family friend who just opened a school nearby to teach a couple of kids. At first, I turned it down but told my Dad fact being that we were close.
He however encouraged me to take the job. His argument was that it will not only help me familiarize with kids but to also love them.

myself and a couple of my students many Children's Day ago 😁

It actually worked, and I got to once again see the beauty in childhood. These children practically nursed me back to life (cause around that time, I lost my Mum. That was one of the reasons why my Dad encouraged me to take the job).
An end result of this was a renewed relationship with my Nephews and my lovely Niece who can't stand to see me with another female...lol.

this is the daughter of my friend

Another child that sparked my world was Success - she is the daughter of a friend of mine who happened to be in my choir. She (my friend) had this habit of always disturbing me and my brother whenever she was bored (in short, she was a natural bully) but then she got married and her husband was made to carry that cross 😂 Oh the joy.
Her daughter though still little is my brother's very close friend and their friendship extends to me. She always calls me Smallie.

these are my Nephews and Niece with the exception of the youngest; Nehemiah. His father is a French man and he lives in another country and as a result he wasn't present for this particular shot

This is the dude, my youngest nephew, myself and his Mum (my sister).

It's always a pleasure hanging around children and more than anything they've time and again stirred my spirit to life. You can't be depressed after spending time out with kids.
Children hold the future and what we impact in them is what we'll reap tomorrow, there's no magic about that.
So as much as possible, reach out and touch as many kids as you can postively, cause change begins with one person.

Happy Children's Day Folks
