Superman is my Dad| Happy Fathers Day!!!

We live in woke times yunno! A time where everything is questioned. From our way of life[tradition], to even thought patterns. I don't claim to be woke, but I align with some of the "woke" movements.

However, I've not been able to understand how we got so woke that we start bashing our parents, blaming 'em for certain things that if we looked inwardly, are problems caused by our own decisions and actions. Worst part is that we then bring it on social media for people to judge or not judge our parents. It's a mad time in society mehn!

Maybe there are bad parents; of course there are!. Fortunately, I've never been able to relate to posts about parents being evil. All my life [over twenty years], I've experienced nothing but undiluted love from my parents. I've seen them sacrifice necessary pleasures to ensure my sisters and I live good lives. I live on my own now; quite far from their reach, and yet, their love cord still extends to me right here.

Fun fact! If I called home and said I needed financial assistance, my dad would go out the way to make it available.

Today's fathers day, and good fathers don't always get the plaudits they deserve. And we are all so used to that lifestyle. We should begin to normalize eulogizing our fathers/dads.

My dad is my super hero! Nah, it's not hype. I'd love to list the things that qualifies him as my super hero, but I want to keep this post at readable length. So I won't be making that list today. But here's one thing that makes me proud of my dad; it's how he loves and respects my mom.

Yunno! With all the feminism movement, it's easy for some people to now look at their dads in disdain, for how their moms were treated. Sadly again, I can't relate.

I'm a better man today because of my dad[and mom too]. My sisters would testify too. We couldn't have asked for a better dad.
