The worst enemy of the garden... and strawberries before coffee :)

Here is such a contrasting post of mine today ... An evil and hungry enemy of the garden on a green salad leaf and red strawberries, which I gathered in my own garden before my morning coffee :)
And the prehistory іs this: last year my mother was very depressed because of the big "epidemic" of snails in Ukraine! And not in vain. Because these slippery animals literally devoured everything in their path! I did not particularly care about this problem, and often joked: that I agreed with the snails, and they will leave me what belongs to me, and eat only their part)))0її

Here was a year and I decided to plant a salad that I really love. This salad variety grows large and turns into heads like cabbage. I have been so glad to wait for this miracle to grow. Once long ago I have already had such an experience and grown giant - salad, but it was 30 years ago! Since then, the environmental situation and natural balance on our land are very violated. And it became impossible to grow anything without using mineral fertilizers and without destroying pests. And so I noticed that my salad became leaky, and it turns out that the snails are gourmets, they ate my salad :) Well, what can you do, they left me my share, as we agreed! ))) And I hurried to gather what was left and prepared a huge salad of onions, tomatoes and lettuce, with flaxseed oil.

My father "armed" in advance, and acquired a drug against slugs, which he sprinkles the land around the beds with cucumbers. And he walks and collects these slippery pests every night in a bucket of salty water, and they die there.

And what are the strawberries here?! The fact is that I like to live in balance with nature and grow those plants that somehow are more protected from pests than others. I noticed that forest strawberries are fairly hardy and able to survive in difficult conditions! For more than 10 years ago, I brought a few dozen crops of forest crops and planted them in my garden. In addition, I planted a few wood hazelnuts tree. And the strawberries began to multiply well.

And now I have my garden in the morning these amazing little berries, which slugs are not eaten unlike garden crops. So we find harmony, and slugs do photos on a flower. Too beautiful. Perhaps if we will send them love mentally, as part of living nature and return to organic farming, they will also return to its balance!

Well, in defence of the slugs, they need to put food on the table and don't have arms to plant it themselves so... they are forced to steal what's already available. 🤣

Well, that's what I say: you need to share with love and not embark on the path of malicious destruction, because then they will reproduce even more)
