How do you get over your input not being equal to output? Mysteries of Adulthood!

Have you ever put so much effort into something and it turned out woefully? While I was growing up, My training as a child requires putting effort into something and getting result, if you don’t, then if it turned out poorly you Can’t be sad Cos your input must be equal to your output, if you put so much into something and it doesn't go well, then you have every right to be sad. My late mom use to say, then it's just during exams in elementary nans high school/college that I experience her statement first hands, but as an adult; I have seen the 3D and HD version of that scenario in life.

Unfortunately, input equalling output only applies in some aspect of Electronics(Some parts of Rectifier and amplifier circuits), it doesn’t always apply in life. Recently I organized a zoom meeting, a study/research for a crypto project/product. I had to pay a crypto group for adverts that cost me $28 to get about twenty something people to register for the meeting. I know i might get a little less than that because It was a research/questionnaire for a project and people might be skeptical about new crypto projects at first.

My first set back was, only nine out of those twenty-ish turned up, but I wasn’t so sad about that to some extent. Also the meeting was supposed to last 30 to 45mins but it went on for an hour and 10 mins Cos all the points needed to be touched.

The final blow was, the whole meeting never get recorded/saved somewhere in some cloud or something. Meaning, I do not have a Audio transcript of raw data(users responses to the questionnaires), so all my efforts equaled zero, or maybe even a minus because I paid for Ads which I’ll never get a refund and the whole essence of the meeting was defeated. Although I got written answers, but what’s the point in getting people’s opinions audibly without having access to it?

That made me sleepless, i know I could be lazy but I handle all my chores and tasks to the books. My late mom always quote a bible verse for me and my brothers while we were still little about Handling things with all/due Diligence(Book of proverb, can’t remember the verse for now). But I have handled a whole lot of things with due diligence but still got a woeful result, It’s really a hard and tough adult world!
