Farm life and Sea life!

Composting time on an Olive farm on a hill near the mountains!

If I had to ask you what you love most, the mountains or the sea, what would your answer be?

Today we will have a look at some zoomed shots on a farm and the ocean taken on the same day.
We are lucky here as both the farms and the ocean are minutes away from our house and so we have ample photographic opportunities at both. Which do I love the most, the mountains or the sea?
I don't have to pick because I have both 😁
Come and have a look!

027_LI.jpg

This is a bit of a trick, as what do you see in the yellow circle?

009.JPG

Zoom 1. Look a bit closer at the bottom of this picture!

005.JPG

Zoom 2. Yes it is two tractors towing compost laden trailers!

034.JPG

Zoom 3. They drag a special mix of fertilizer with spades off the flat trailers to the base of the olive trees.

Now for a bit of zoom at the ocean!

177.JPG

218.JPG

Here we have the tractor of the sea 🤣

225.JPG

No fishing rods, so they either work with traps, or they are working with nets!

226.JPG

Traveling about 500 or 600 hundred meters out here according to my thumb, but it is difficult to measure on the water and my thumb is a bit skew

232.JPG

Maybe they were heading towards the horizon, as we did not have the time to wait!

045.JPG

Finally, just a picture of a Kelp Gull to end the post!

I like to give all of my posts an introduction and closing paragraphs, as firstly, it gives the readers an idea of what the post is about and secondly, the closing paragraphs sum up what we have been looking at and leave the reader with something to think about or to take note of.

They give me the opportunity to provide a deeper meaning, or to explain my analogy of life that I have used to paint a picture for you. They can explain a story, or offer hope for the days.

Life is filled with both good and bad. Under our noses we can experience something that is good - but comes with some negativities. Other times we may see something happening and think it is really bad - but as we look a little closer we see the beauty and the positives wrapped into the story somewhere.

May our eyes be open...alerting us to potential bad and dangers around us...but allowing us to see the beauty, the good, the positives waiting to lift up our hearts, filling our beings with hope that all will be more than okay.

These pictures are all my own. Hope you have enjoyed the post and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity.

I thought the same thing: I like both in the same place lol. The calmness of the sea and the boldness of the mountains.

I agree that we need to stay alert to dangers and also keep an open eye/heart for the good things in life.

Thank you and yes, the mountains rooted solidly in strength and the sea fluid in it's motion beauty.
The mountains tell me about strength needed to endure the flow of life that the up and down waves of the ocean signifies.

Exactly how to handle both the good and the bad in life my friend.
To realize that one has to stay rooted in the constant flow of of life.

I would love to have both, but if I had to chose I'd take the mountains like I have it now. The sea is only a few hours away, so if I want I could have both in one day too 😉

Nice shot of the seagul 😊

Most things have a good and a bad side - you just need to find the good one ... just like saying the glass is half empty, but it is half full 😉

I think that's why we were placed here Hannes.

Minutes to either means I can do both on the same day , or stop at any one on our way anywhere hahaha.

Glad that you liked the seagull my friend!

Over here they have stolen the glass, So we use South African slang words; "Komme sie-Komme sa" and I reckon that you will know that means "Either or" hahaha.

Cheers and thanks!

Minutes to either would be better, of course, and you have made a good choice for your place to live 😊

Yes, I know "comme si, comme ca" - we use this phrase sometimes too and it means about the same or "so lala" 😉

We did not make the choice, as it was given to us by the heavens my friend.
The old lady that lived here died and I don't know if I told you about the miracle event that resulted in us buying the place?

So now, I know something about Austrian language, as the words have their origin in France and it was adopted in the slang of other countries because of it's trendy sound lol.

I will now say Good Night to you with this edit Hannes as it is past 10 and you might be asleep already. Hope that you will have a good rest and all of the best for tomorrow.
God willing!

Cheers and thanks!

In that case heaven made a good choice 😀 and no, I don't think I can remember the story about you buying the house.

True, is comes from France and there are many of such phrases which are used all over the world 😊

And I say Good Morning Zac and hope you have a great day ☀️

I will tell you the story sometime Hannes and I am sure that you will also be amazed.

Agreed my friend as great sayings are always adopted by everyone. The interesting part is how the different nations interpret and use them lol.

I have already said good morning Hannes and also hope that your day will be good!

Cheers and thanks!

For me it is the sea, I do love mountains as well, but if I had to choose I would head to be by the water ;)

Another great post

Thank you JJ, I am split 50/50 between the two and I think that's why we were placed exactly in the middle between the two. 6 minutes either way lol.
Though I must admit that the sea stirs different emotions than the mountains lol

Cheers!

That is great you are so close to both I am not sure how close are any mountains to here but not close for sure

Enjoy that you don’t have to choose there both so close

I love both like I said JJ and they have each their very own special character, so if I want peace and serenity, I head to the ocean and if I have troubles I go to the mountains for strength.

Just a blessing that we appreciate my friend!

Always an issue when one feels the need and too many other issues keeps one away.
I am also very familiar with that feeling my friend.
But you will get there and that's the blessing!

Did you also use the voiceover here, as it looks a bit Spanish?
I understand what you said and gratitude for what I get is indeed the answer.
No need to worry about what I didn't get, as there are always other chances.

LOL no I didn’t use the microphone
Perhaps I should have the microphone seems to do better than my fingers do when it comes to typing so I’m think I will use the microphone more I don’t know why I haven’t been using it

Not to worry as I never have a problem with your typing lol.
Even the great writers here make mistakes, so all of us do.
I will simply continue to use this keyboard until they develop a voice app for PC.

Btw. I made a mistake by missing this reply, so you are not the only one 🤣

I love the mountains when I am up in the mountains, I love the sea when I am on the beach, life is full of choices making my mind up over either would be a difficult task.

Human nature is about variety, a walk close to home is more often than not surprising at how much is around us, I did love photograph of seagull swooping overhead a reminder we cannot fly!

Hahaha, it just makes our choices so much easier Lady Joan.
There is also a huge variety of other choices close by as time permits and you are so right about the regular surprises.
We ran into a lovely surprise today, but I decided to post the latest arrivals of some feathered friends for the breeding season today.
So the big surprise will be posted tomorrow lol.

I think that you know by now that I love to get the Kelps in flight and maybe it's just to still the cry in my soul to soar free as a bird lol.

Blessings and thank you!

With a sister-in-law unable to manage the beach walks I really miss the regular call of the sea, will have to make another plan...

So sorry and I feel for you Lady Joan.
What about a wheel chair, or a cart of some sorts for someone to push her along in the road while you walk on the beach with your camera?
