RE: Nowhere to go but here

Maybe a good message for me today as I was also pondering all of the sacrifices we make to keep others happy.
But my reasoning is that it is our duty as they have nothing and we enjoy doing it.
Would or should I give this up to live a better life, a life with no worries?
There is no such thing as life issues all of us with regular bags of worries.

Introspection is always a good thing but the troubles weigh heavily on the mind.
I don't think that there is any of that don't have one trouble or another.
Of course gathering as a true community in support of each other is a great ideal to strive for, as it it no fun to have to face one's mountains alone.
But such is life and we just have to keep going!

Gain on both sides. The challenge is the "give a man a fish" problem though - eventually all of us will have to stand alone - at least try.

as it it no fun to have to face one's mountains alone.

it is also no fun to enjoy life alone in my experience - the best movie is not that great, the greatest steak tastes bland, the wonderful sunset becomes nothing more than some pretty light - sharing adds the value. This is why social media has taken off as it has, we are disconnected as individuals and craving the feeling of sharing life with others- so we turn to a platform, instead of make a friend.

Little hungry children has no say in the matter my friend. They need to be fed anf if the un-employment rate is at 60% there are many parents only on a state subsidy.
Google "Sats SA" and see what I am talking about.

Hahaha, we don't do movies and we don't do the best steaks. Sunsets will never lose their lustre and social media sucks.
We are on a diet of platonic personal relationships, where only daily moans and groans are offered.
Thankfully nature offers us solace and renewal.

Hope that you are coping with the bereavement.

It is a process problem and if the processes upstream don't change, there will be a growing number of hungry children with no say that need to be fed - but the stream is so large it just waterfalls over the cliff. The entire economic world is broken globally, it just presents itself in different ways at the local level.

Grilling a steak at home for one would be a sad affair in my opinion :)

Grilling chicken at home for two is not so bad lol.

I cannot agree with you more, change has to happen at the top if we are to be placed on a course for survival.
We cannot go on like this, for we will surely see dooms day soon. The economic world, is indeed in serious trouble. And if you look at how the poor live here, and in other countries, you will see the true reality of the situation.
