Trip to Portugal - Some Castles of Portugal
Portugal is a very old country, probably around 876 years old. We are a people who have always been a fighter in protecting our borders and at the same time discovering new places to be discovered. We were pioneers in the discovery of lands around the world in the year 1500, as for example it is now the USA in the discovery of more planets in the Universe.
The photos above are of the Castle of the city of Guimarães, not far from the city of Porto in the north of Portugal. It can be said that this is where Portugal's history began.
This castle was built to protect the Portuguese population from Vikings and Muslims who used to plunder the population and also occupy the land. Here was our first King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques.
This castle belongs to the city of Bragança, this city is in the north and interior of Portugal. To get here the city of Porto is a little far and Lisbon is more distant.
The castle is very well maintained and the Plaza de Armas is also known as a citadel or town. Here you will find a museum with many pieces from the time of that castle. For those who like history it is a good place to visit.
The Castelo de São Jorge is one of the most emblematic monuments of Lisbon, located on the highest hill in the city, to get to this place we recommend taking a tuk tuk as the climb is quite tiring. I already went up and I won't repeat ahaha
From this castle you have a magnificent view over the Portuguese capital - Lisbon.
This castle is from Montalegre, is located in the north of Portugal in the national park of Peneda-Gerês, in this place you have beautiful landscapes in which Nature still retains all its charm.

The one from Montalegre. I know I have been there as a kid... but I don't have many memories from it.
Hi @trincowski 😀
This place is very beautiful, but I advise you to visit when it is the black Friday party there, I don't know the date for sure.
Hug my friend 🙏
