My Quarantine Journal || How I'm spending my days?
I live in a very crowded city. A city that is full of highrise and millions of people. People are not rich, there are many slums, who used to have daily income are facing scarcity of food, there are still not enough medical supplies and support; everything feels a little messed up. This COVID-19, quarantine, city lockdown came with lots of uncertainty, fear, worries and all. This is the quarantine story of my country- Bangladesh.
It's day 8th of city lockdown. And it's 16 days running I didn't go outside. I live in an apartment with my husband and my toddler son. My husband is working from home for the last nine days. To be honest it can't be true if I say I'm not enjoying this period. But the enjoyment level is not so high compared to other emotions, you know.
So, this is how we are going. As you can understand we can't go outside. It's not like that the quarantine and lockdown are very strict but because we don't feel safe. It's better to stay at home. You can understand that all we are doing is trying to make this 'locked down' period a little less boring.
This is how empty the city is now. My husband captured this image a few days ago.
It was really very tough at the beginning to accept and decide what we need to do. But now I made a routine for our life to easily maintain everything. Our main focus is to make our son feel comfortable at home (I don't know for how many days). Also, we have to take care of every house chores, cooking, cleaning and all. So, we are pretty busy right now.
What I'm doing?
Cooking, House chores, Hiving, maintaining other online activities, connecting with people, trying to meditate, making journals, recalling my good memories, Netflixing, paying with my son and all...
Doing Food Photography!
Cooking!
My husband is busy with his laptop and mobile. Also, giving us plenty of time. Most importantly my son is getting more time from us. It's not that bad at all.
Alphabet puzzle!
My son is also cooking! ;)
I'm also trying to do some random zen/line art.
So, this is how it's going. Not much but altogether it's okay. We don't know how many days we have to be in such a situation, right? So, it's better to adapt our daily life with all the changes. And, adding some extra can make it less boring.
I hope you are also enjoying your day. Stay Home, Stay Safe.
