Cube Movie Review - There Is No Way Out

avatar

Why do not we go back to the old time to the last century and see the magnificence of cinematic works in that time.
Despite the poor technical capabilities, the last century has brought us cinematic jewels that sit on the throne of cinema so far, and the biggest evidence is the living legend, Godfather, which still maintains the highest evaluation in the history of cinema.
Our date today is with a very cool movie from the 1997 release. When you find yourself locked in a cube and you have 6 exits, you don't know where to go.
When darkness prevails and despair prevails and you do not know where you came from or where you are going.

The story

The movie begins with a skinny man who wakes up suddenly to find himself in a cube and has 6 exits in front of that cube.
It is only natural that he finds himself lost and confused and decides to take one of these holes to find himself moving to another cube.
It looks like we're in a closed circle that doesn't end from one cube to the next.
With the transition, it encounters some people in a way who will influence the course of the film.
A reckless person tries to open one of the rooms and move in quickly, but the room lights up in a different color and finds himself cut apart.
And another person goes to a room to burn a toxic chemical gas.
We remain very confused until a mathematics expert appears to discover that each room has certain numbers, and then they discover that the cubes are transmitted with a certain coordinate cycle.
Here they know that they must move to the appropriate cube until they reach the last opening that leads to the exit.
But it seems that treachery does not end, one of them tries to catch others and sacrifice one of the two girls with him, but he falls into the evil of his deeds.

An impression of the movie

The story of the movie seems a bit familiar for the time being, but I think that at the time of the movie’s release, the movie was very mysterious.
On the personal side, I love puzzle films that present a new idea that has not been released before.
Like the movie The Platform, I really liked the truth due to the high performance, the new idea, and the meaning behind the movie.
But this movie does not rise to be like a platform, but even I do not oppress the producers and the director about the weak capabilities, let me comment on points that have nothing to do with the capabilities.
The film provided us with an outstanding design and very good for a movie released in the nineties.
But what is wrong with the movie is the very poor performance of the actors. Some characters find it highly emotional, while others do not seem to be very affected by what is happening.
Likewise, if we search between the characters, we will not find a major hero for the film.
The movie is similar to Saw's films, which everyone finds themselves in a hole and everyone is trying to sacrifice the other.

Photography

Cinematography was somewhat good for moving and moving the camera, and filming in these blocks is not easy.
But what disturbed me personally was the color and lighting in the film, because it was very poor. Whenever I remembered the movie, it suggested to you that it was a movie that was filmed by lighting the candles.
The quality of the cameras may have been poor at the time, but there was no objection to using additional lighting to improve the quality of the film.

In the end

The film introduces a new idea with a different concept, that survival requires thinking.
And that the struggle for life may lead you to madness and make you destroy everyone in your path.
