Threats of corona virus

The deadly Corona virus has landed in Pakistan with it's first case being diagnosed a couple of days back. A boy traveling from Iran had fever and coughing but got the green signal from the airport and he wasn't quarantined which is quite alarming but eventually got diagnosed from the local hospital. It was in my city Karachi and now he and his family have been isolated in a hospital building. Similarly a case in the capital city Islamabad has also been caught another man coming back from Iran had the virus. The border of Iran has been closed until further notice.

Due to this news some vendors have taken advantage and mask prices have sky rocketed I mean a mask box costing 1.5$ is now selling at 15 to 20 dollars. What have we come to this is an emergency and people are making profit out of this and that too unfairly. Although the actual death toll is high but in percentages out of 83000 cases only 2000 have died with 37% people recovering from the virus. The main concern is the lack of a proper vaccine being developed to counter the corona virus.

A new study shows that the virus travels through small droplets rather than the air, during sneezing and coughing. The best way to avoid the virus is to regularly wash your hands and avoid touching your eyes and face frequently. There ismore likely chances of getting the virus from a common place used by an affected person rather than direct transmission of the virus.

This has also taken a toll on the economical side of things with stock markets dumping quite a bit, manufacturers in china have shut down. Air travel and tourism has come to a stand still almost globally and the crypto market isn't also looking great. We pray that the situation gets better and a cure arrives for the corona virus. While all the affected person get better.
