Hello everyone I recently checked out @themarkymark 's post of a list of fake accounts made using users names as close as possible trying to trick people into believing they are the real thing but it's quite easy to spot just look at there hive power and reputation and most have been blacklisted now I just wanted to let you know that @steem-london has nothing to do with this account @steemlondon

I agree with voting down accounts designed to create market confusion.

The problem gets dicey when place names are involved. London is a city with 9 million people. As the capital of the UK it is a place of general interest. As a place name it is pretty much a generic term.

The terms STEEM and HIVE are also generic. One would expect multiple Hive accounts touting London. I would say the more the merrier.

I would not downvote him simply for the name.

This one has me scratching my head. The guy did create a dblog.org about London. So he might be legit.

What is really strange is that the site links to https://twitter.com/steemlondon

https://twitter.com/steemlondon links back to your account.

This final piece is very suspicious. If that is your Twitter account, then it appears that the guy is trying to steal your identity.

I thought that might be the case. I dropped my very first downvote as this really does appear to be a case of identity theft.

Hive.blog (this blockchain) might be drawn into a trademark dispute with Hive Blockchain Technologies. Hive Blog is likely to argue that the term HIVE is generic. I would have sympathy for an account that was just trying to find a way to promote Londo.
