Monochrome in Milford

Monochrome in Milford

I haven't done a monochrome post for a while so I thought I would do one this morning and join Monochrome Monday hosted by @old-guy-photos.
Now some may see the current days and the situation with lockdowns closed businesses etc make the world seem down and Mono can portray that kind of feel, and i think that's understandable at the moment but we all have to do what we have to do or perhaps its more of a case of not doing what we shouldn't do and stay positive and look forward to when this all passes and things start to return to normal.

But that said this post isn't meant to be a feeling down post as the way I look at it I am healthy and at home and have all I need, there are so many who have passed away from this virus and I really feel for the homeless and hungry at this time which makes it easy for me to appreciate it snot that bad.
but the reason I like mono shots is I find mono allows one to focus on the details in am image without getting distracted by the colors.

these shots were all taken around downtown Milford this first sho of part of the falls by city hall.

And finishing off with this outside area at the Stonebridge back when it was covered up over Winter, it is uncovered now and I am sure being all set up for the 20th when I understand restaurants can open again but only with outdoor seating the Stonebridge has this patio area that I am sure they will put to good use

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

hello dear friend @tattoodjay good day
It is true, you have made me remember this challenge from our friend @ old-guy-photos
I share your words and be grateful for being well and having what it takes to live with dignity, just by looking around us we see inhuman things.
The images you show us are truly beautiful. Thanks a lot.
I wish you a great day

Hi My friend
thanks for your kind words and yes there are so many inhuman things being done but we have to do what is right for us and treat others with respect

Nice shots! I was just watching a show on TV the other day called Ariel America. It is one of my favorite shows where they fly over the states and take high def video. The state they were covering was Connecticut and I was trying to watch as closely as possible to see if they did a fly over of Milford. I don't think they did. They hit Mystic Seaport though. I remember going there as a kid.

I love all the photos shown here. You have a gift and great skills! Like... the first photo shows heavy waters from a waterfall and the second show mists of water from the spurting water fountain, and yet both are vivid and clear... in black and white.
I think that I will join this challenge. And should I gather enough courage to do so, and as soon as I post the photos, I shall hide under my bed, in case it gets rejected, LOL! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a lovely day, and take care, my friend @tattoodjay. 🥰🌺🤙

Waterfalls are stunning, captured in the moment.

Don;t know when our restaurants are ever going to open again, only home deliveries have been allowed over the last two weeks.

Thanks,
The restaurants here have been allowed to sell by delivery or curbside pickup which has enabled some to keep going at this time
