Finally Cut My Mama's Hair... <3 Glad She Liked It~! (^_^)/

Hey friends!
It's Shei here... and I'm really glad to finally do my mama's request which is to cut her hair. Around ten days ago, I posted an unboxing blog of the haircut tools my mama bought for me so I could cut her hair. If you missed it, you can check it out HERE.

Now, let's me show you how my mama's hair looked before and after I cut it. <3

This is actually just for the thumbnail, but I'll be showing individual pictures below which I took as I went through the haircutting process. <3

Pardon our faces. hahaha I'm really happy that the tools we purchased came with this cloth, so it'll be less messy than last time. :) We did the haircutting inside my room. :)

I got rid of my table "aka" my mini workstation and placed my stuff on my sofa bed. Then I placed a cloth on the floor so it'd contain the hair that I'd cut. Of course, I could just sweep them, but this will make my job a lot easier. :)

Look how long my mama's hair is. The temperature in my country is getting hotter and hotter as the hot and dry season in my country is reaching its peak. So, in order to make mama feel more comfortable, it's time to get some haircut! ^^

It really is so much easier to use the hair clips compared to scrunchies which I used last time. I divided my mama's hair into three levels. She wanted to have the octopus cut. It's her favorite ever since. I did it for her last year, but I really struggled with it. Now, with the tools, is more convenient and efficient.

She wants the longest layer to be this short! I also made the longest layer thinner than the two next layers since this would be like the octopus's legs. I'd just make adjustments here and there. :) Mama also has gray hair.. haha She said she's going to dye her hair after the haircut. ^^

Now, I'm starting to cut the middle layer. It's kind of difficult to cut everything in one go since its much thicker than the previous one, so I divided it into two parts: left and right. :) I'm not that sure about what I was doing, but we'll just adjust afterwards. haha

Middle layer, done! This is like the body of the octopus. Wait, does an octopus have a body? haha Anyway, let's continue!

Let's do this! It's the final layer or the head of the octopus. So basically, it's the shortest and the thickest part.

There we have it! I took a photo for both sides as well as how it looked like at the back. I just need to do some final adjustments like cutting some obviously uneven strands of her hair. I also have to comb it in various ways (this means... not her usual hairline) and do some adjustments. Finally, I had to use the hair dryer, too.

This is how it looks like in front and at the back. Mama was happy about it and she said she felt more comfortable now. She also commented that it was as if she was at the hair salon. While we were talking, she mentioned that the sound the scissors and thinning comb was legit. Unlike last time, I was using my bandage scissors that my hand hurt from cutting her hair.

The products we purchased were really good and it wasn't pricey at all. It was a good practice for me and I'm glad mama liked the result. I'm thinking of cutting my hair, too... However, it won't be anytime soon. I want to continue growing my hair for now. But, we'll see.

I'll end this post here. Thanks a lot for checking it out~! Have a great one and see you next time! (^^,)/
