I Finished My Project Yesterday and I Feel So Fulfilled 😎😍

I finally finished what I wanted to do yesterday and it took me around four hours to do so. I got back pain afterwards, but it was worth it!

Yaaay! I painted some Haikyuu!! characters portraying the "Battle of the Garbage Dump" between my favorite teams Karasuno and Nekoma on a piece of wood. Well, you might wonder why it's on a wood? There's a reason for that.

This is my room's ceiling. It looks a bit tattered because of some rain water. Although no rain water flows there anymore because the roof has been fixed for quite a while, the damage it has done has remained.

A few weeks back, papa bought some wood for his project in the kitchen area. He decided to build some cabinet or cupboard and he had an extra wood we could use to tamper this part of the ceiling.

When mama told me about it, I asked her if it's OK that I paint something on it before we put it up on the ceiling and she excitedly agree because it has been months since I last painted.

In order to paint on wood, I asked papa to buy me some tulcraft (he's the only One in the family who's allowed to go out) because I only had acrylic and poster paints and I know they weren't enough given the size of the wood. I at least needed primary colors, black and white then I'd take care of the mixing. :)

Now, let's get to the process of painting my project!

The wood was pre-painted by papa. He coated it with this whitish color just like the ones he used un the kitchen. What I did first was sketched my design using a pencil. It's not very clear though because I just sketched fairly lightly.

There are like three parts in this painting, first a cat and a crow near a garbage bin with a volleyball beside it, on the right would be Hinata and Kageyama from Karasuno and lastly on the left would be Kuroo and Kenma from Nekoma.

I painted the center roughly first, then the right side and lastly the left side. I also did some shading and highlighting, so please check them out below!

Last part would be placing my username and the date as well as taking off the tapes I placed around the painting.

Papa then took a picture of the artwork with me beside it! Yay! I feel so happy despite the backpain for painting straight hours. I had to stand while doing so. What's more, it also suddenly rained good thing this part of the house has a roof but beside it is the garden, so the rain freely fell on it. Rain water flowed under my feet but the cool wind which came with the rain was comfortable.

Ohh, there are some bonus pictures papa took from his monitor. He stayed in the store while I was painting and he discovered that he can clearly see the area where I was painting.

It was still raining the time he took this picture, so we had to move the tables in the middle, but once the rain let up, we placed it near the receiving area so it's easier to paint.

Now that the painting is done, all that's left is to put it on the ceiling. So after we had dinner last night, I assisted papa in covering the ruined ceiling. And this is how it looks like now.

The last picture is my view now while creating this post. Yes, I'm still lazing around in bed while writing this. It's almost 11AM, so I might get up soon. I want to take pictures of the garden today since mama and papa planted and replanted stuff a couple days back. Hopefully the weather's good today! :)
