Pencil Sketch of CHROME from Dr. Stone (Manga panel redraw)

I tried catching up with the final available chapter of Dr. Stone earlier today. I read around ten chapters using the Shonen JUMP app and it made me more and more excited. It's exhilarating!!! As Senku, the main character would describe it.

Chapter 160 was crazy and I just can't stop thinking about what's going to happen next. It made me eager to rewatch the first season and patiently wait for the second season next year. I know for sure that the latest available chapter in the manga wouldn't be in second season... probably on the fourth one if they continue releasing the anime version which I hope they will.

So yeah, the final panel in the latest chapter showed "Chrome" and his expression was too much for me to handle. I just couldn't stop myself from admiring it, so after my class a while ago, I decided to sketch it.

I took out my sketchpad and pencil and drew what I saw in that panel. It took me around 25 minutes to finish it including the shading and shadowing. I didn't care about erasing some lines, and just overlapped them. haha It's not that I was lazy. I just wanted to see how he would look like in my sketch.





Pencil sketch done... so using the same pencil, I shaded some parts and emphasized some shadows using a cotton swab...





I don't know... but his expression tells a lot. Sadness and determination... I don't want to spoil but something happened to Senku and he was tasked to fill in. I'm positive that Chrome would do a great job. He might not be as knowledgeable as Senku for now, but he has enormous potential.

Seriously, it's pretty crazy to even think about it. Ugh! I just love Dr. Stone! I have been in love with it since the first episode of the anime. Anyway, I want to redraw this digitally someday. I haven't done digital drawing for a while now, so I don't know how I'll do. I'd definitely need to practice again.
