Moving apartments!

In a few days only, the "big" move is going to happen. Big within the " because it's going to be quick regarding getting the personal items from A to B. The worst part of it, is the "junk" from the landlord that's still inside of the apartment. The poor (old) man can't do much about it currently, as he broke his wrist a while ago, and has not listened to the advice of his friends to NOT do anything but let them help him carry stuff from his old to his new place. Unfortunately, the sweet old man is a stubborn old man as well, and now his wrist is three times the size of his healthy one.

Stuff, junk, and garbage

This means, things have been stacking up lately and my sweet other half has said he will just help him when the move is going to happen. Which is great, only it bothers me so much that I don't know WHEN he will exactly do this, I'm a planner in case you haven't noticed (lol), and I need this to guide my own brain through the (horrible stressfully) process of moving. Even with only "few" things to move, there's stress in my head. So, with a week's time left, I need to have some info from the man's side to start counting down.

Planning keeps changing

I told myself to commit to the abundance challenge every day to find the abundance of time I so need currently, but I have too much changing (unpredicted) plans constantly that I took a break. I will continue though, probably even start over once moved. I will use the terrace we will have for early morning meditations.
The change isn't all bad btw, because it also means that we will move in having a brand new garden furniture set and having the go-ahead on buying flowers and plants to make the terrace even more enjoyable.

For weeks I've been drawing and coloring

To wipe stuff of my to do list I've been drawing and coloring things once completed to see how much work is left. I noticed that I started to enjoy the sketching (it's not really drawing in this case) more and more and tried envisioning the terrace with the items I desire there. Although things aren't quite (lol) in the right place and angles (I know, I know), it has the basic things I desire to have there within a few weeks.

The swing bench is there already and so is the thing above it, not even sure how it's called. Sorry for the weird colors used, but I love using my watercolor markers and I only have a few colors in this set. The floor is wood and so are the walls to the neighbors.

A few big plants, a little herb garden (on the left, with the purple haha), a garden furniture set (even better than I expected), a barbecue and plants hanging on the terras is what will probably make me happy looking at daily. Some more items will be added but to enjoy the terrace to the max during the summer, these will be done sooner than others.

To clear my mind, I keep drawing

As all my painting items are already packed in a box, I have some pens and sketchbooks left. I find the move stressful this time not because I didn't plan things through correctly, but because I have no control over the other party hurrying up. I decided to let this feeling flow and see the upside of moving out a few days later because it means I will be at "home" here until it's all done (cleaning) to not be in that place all at once (it will only be annoying for all of us).

Meanwhile, I just keep drawing what I want to do to make the apartment feel like home, and it helps me so much envisioning it. The wardrobe cabinet which I thought I had to buy, will be coming back from the new place of the owner to the one we will be renting. Saving money right there! Today, we are going to buy the sofas and hopefully, they will be delivered in a week or so. One thing I know for sure it that the terrace needs a lot of green, although it's not a garden, I want to make it a place that feels very ZEN :)

Slowly, things are falling into place, and slowly I will be enjoying the new place to the max and start writing more as well.

Have a good day everyone!

Good luck with the move. I totally get you ( even though my last move was to another country - Netherlands to Portugal ). Can't help but feel that you and I are similar in many ways.

By reading this, I sense that you're doing exactly the right thing under the circumstances. Stay ZEN.

Before you know it, you're there and you can breathe again. ✨

Big hug,

Vincent

Thanks @vincentnijman, I have the same feeling!

I try to stay ZEN, really, but yesterday evening, I was totally out of sync because another 'bump' on the road appeared messing up the moving schedule. Thankfully, after a good night of sleep, I realize, it's only days, not weeks, so either way, almost there.

Will probably try to meditate and draw some more today to keep the mind calm haha.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Exactly :) Today, I plan on doing so a bit more. Yesterday evening turned out to be super stressful due to another round of changed plans which is really messing up the moving schedule. Starting with some meditation and trying to remain calm today lol :)
