Revived fairy tale - Photo + GIF
Revived fairy tale
Some time ago, I created a collage based on the fairy tales of Lewis Carroll.
I wanted to create an atmosphere in the dungeons, where a caterpillar was sitting on the coffin, releasing puffs of smoke and a Cheshire cat, whose head appeared in the air.
In addition to this, I wanted to show a different flow of time and the curvature of space.
The basis of the picture was a photograph of a meadow mushroom.
I photographed the caterpillar on the wheel of a car that was parked next to our house.
Before the entrance to the administration of the city of Rivne, there is a small park where I saw an urn in the form of a smoking pipe. I decided to replace the hookah with it, which the caterpillar should smoke.
Kota, I didn't have to look for a long time, he constantly sits near our house.
To create a sense of the curvature of time and space, I used a photograph that I took near the Independence Square in the capital of Ukraine.
Everything is fine, I got a collage, but I was missing something.
I couldn't figure it out until today.
I decided to create a GIF image and put some movement in the heroes of the picture.
This is a trial version for now. I'm trying to figure out the anchor points and vectors of the direction of movement, but my picture came to life and, along with it, the fairy tale came to life.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
I hope that posting collages out of competition is encouraged?))
That's a beautiful collage and it's of course totally appropriate to post it here! I really like that it was crafted throughout from own materials.
We would of course be happy if you also join us in the LMAC challenge. The next one will start tomorrow already! Hope to see you there :)
Thank you very much. I will try to participate in competitions. The participants in your contests are great, as are their work. I need to grow to such a creative level and technical equipment. But, it's fun.
Your collage is magnificent.
Even if you don't participate in competitions, it is important to make works with free license images
