LMAC Round 73: The Dinosaur Age

My collage is of the time when the dinosaurs were on the planet. Two different species square off to fight for territory as an exceptional large squirrel nibbles an acorn and watches safely from the hilltop.

The exact origin and evolution of these reptiles has never been completely solved. It is believed they inhabited the earth over 200 million years ago and they still continue to fascinate us.

You really took that picture away and made it your own. They look so hungry, yet who could be afraid of such whimsical creatures? The colors are very appealing. Really, really nice interpretation of the photo!

Two different species square off to fight for territory as an exceptional large squirrel nibbles an acorn and watches safely from the hilltop.

The large squirrel is "Scrat" from the "Ice Age" movie series. The first and the second "Ice Age" movie were one of the first movies that I watched in a cinema with my family as a kid. Good times, pleasant memories.

I didn’t know the squirrel was Scrat until @xplosive mentioned it in the comment...never heard of the ice Age Movie series. I just thought the odd shaped squirrel looked like fun. 🐿🤣. I’m glad you liked it.

The weekend is going good dear Hannes.I hope your weekend is also.🤗 All next week the temperature will be in the double digits and I’m looking forward to some heat.☀️

Have you ever played the game Skip:Bo? It’s played with about 150 cards and a lot of fun. You can play it with two people or 4. We had a couple in Friday night and played the game.

Hi Jo,

you have never heard of th eIce Age movies? That's a huge knowledge gap 😉 Honestly, I love Scrat and all the others in this movie. We were watching the first one with our kids, but when the next part came out we didn't need our kids anymore, at least I didn't 😂😂😂

Here it's quite cold and cloudy. From time to time some snow flakes fall from the sky, but not enough to paint the valley white. I do also hope that it will be getting warmer till April, because by then I'll get my motorbike back from Winter sleep - maybe a ride will motivate me again ;)

Yep, we know this game here too and we play it from time to time :)

Maybe a generation gap LOL. I vaguely remember seeing the movie advertised but thought it more for children. Now I’d have to watch one. Maybe some of the Ice Age series will eventually be on the TV channels we have.

It’s nice and sunny and looks like spring has sprung here this afternoon. Snow is melting fast. Hopefully the heat will come your way too dear Hannes and you will get the motorbike on the road. 🤗☀️

We have another cold and more gray day, but there's not much snow left down here in the valley. Only in the shady areas you can see that white stuff. I hope Spring will arrive soon here too because I'm really ready for a ride 😁
