Good morning Johann. Our night was cooler and a heavy dew this morning. I think today will only be in middle 20s.

It seems you had a lovely time at your parents. It’s a blessing to still have them.😊

Peppy is being very elusive but I’m happy to know he is around and still alive.

Have a lovely Sunday dear Johann.

Good morning Jo,

yes, it have been two great days and I will go there again soon. Next time I'll hike up the mountain too and my father wants to accompany me. Somehow I don't want that, because he's 81 but I would have a lot to do to follow him 😉 lol

Last night a heavy thunderstorm began at 3am, which lasted until the morning. Since then it has been slightly raining and we have about 20C - cool 😁

Right, Peppy is alive and around, that's most important 🙂

Have a wonderful cool Sunday, dear Jo 😊

Good night Johann . It will probably be good morning for you when you read this.

Your father would probably love going on a hike with you...as long as you don’t slow him down. 😄

That’s a long time for a thunderstorm. Did you lose power? We really don’t have many thunderstorms here but it seems if there is one the hydro goes out for awhile.

Today was another 30C but the air conditioner is keeping the house cool enough to have a good sleep at night.

Have a wonderful week dear Johann.

Yess, it's good morning Jo 😊

believe me, he will accopany me and I will slow him down. He is in a much better shape than me. The only problem I see is his artificial heart valve, but it has been working fine for years and next week he has an appointment at the hospital to see if it's alright 😁

It has been raining almost all day long yesterday and it was dry over night, but now it is pouring again. The weather forecast says it will rain until Wednesday, but my phone says I will not see the sun until Friday. I don't mind some cooler and rainy days though ;)

No, we lose power very seldom. I think sometime last year we lost it for one or two hours when a transformer was broken.

Right now we have 18C, my office window is open and the fan blows cool air on my back 😄

I wish you a great day, Jo, and a wonderful week 🤗
In a few weeks time the high temperatures will be gone anyway, and as long as the air conditioner keeps you cool at night it isn't that bad 😊

Hi Johann. I can see why you are hesitant about taking your father on the mountain hike but it would be nice to have the time with him. I wanted to ask about your father’s heart valve replacement and if it is mechanical or a tissue one?

My mother had two heart operations. She had rheumatic fever as a child and it weakened the heart. The first operation was in 1955 and then in about 1977 her heart valve replaced with a tissue one. Tissue ones are made from a pig or cow heart. Mother was good for about 10 yrs and she passed in 1987. The valves are usually good for 15 yrs but not in Mother’s case.

Another warm day but a breeze to keep it nice. As you mentioned, it will be gone soon enough and then I will wish for some of these warm days. 😄

Have a wonderful Tuesday dear Johann.🤗

Good morning Jo,

yes, I hope that the weekend after next will be nice enough and I believe he will join me on the hike if he has time. His heart valve replacement is from a pig ... he loves to eat pork 😁 lol

My father has never been really ill in his life, except from injuries which were his own fault ;)
I don't remember how long he has had the heart valve, but it has certainly been 10 years. It still works fine and as I said he will soon have an appointment to look if it's alright, but I think so, because he hasn't noticed any problems yet.

The rain didn't really stop since Sunday and they say we will not see much sun until next week - it's cool, but soon we will have enough of the water 😉

I'm working today over night till tomorrow afternoon and so I don't mind if the rain still goes on ;)

I wish you also a wonderful Tuesday, dear Joan, and if it doesn't rain and cool down on PEI I hope that the breeze will keep you a bit cooler 😊

Evening Johann. I hope your father stays healthy for a long, long time. In my mother’s case -with each child she had, it weakened her and she was not in good health at the time of the valve replacement in 1977.

In 1955 with the first operation, she was pregnant with my brother who was later killed by a car when he slide down the driveway at 5 yrs. old. The doctors wanted to abort the baby before the operation but she wouldn’t allow it. It seems he wasn’t meant to stay long in this world. I think mother was a A type personality and also a nervous anxious person. Her sister, on the other hand, passed away at 99 years old. My mother’s valve was also from a pig . Amazing how it is compatible with the human body.

Another warm day but enjoyable. Have a great Wednesday dear Johann.😊

Oh thank you so much, dear Jo, I think he will live very long, because he has my genes ;)

It's not good when children lose their parents so young, your words made me feel so sorry for you, even if it's been a long time, but as we said before, there must be a sense behind everything.

Half of the week is almost over, I wish you also a very nice Wednesday, dear @Jo 😊

It is amazing that one of our parents each had a heart valve replacement. Many coincidences.

Mother lived to 67 yrs. I wasn’t a youngster when she passed but one always misses their parents no matter when they go. Who else is there to be happy about your accomplishments or frown at our indiscretions.😊 If she was living now she would be 100.

As I already mentioned in another reply, have a great day and many blessings dear Johann. 🤗

Yes, that's true with the coincidences, and also

Who else is there to be happy about your accomplishments or frown at our indiscretions.
I completely agree with you.

At least my day should look much better than it actually does, after getting so many good day wishes from you, dear Jo 😉 but I thank you very much anyway and I wish you the same great day once again 🤗
