Violence against women continues to be a problem in today's society.
Dear readers, when we talk about violence we refer to the physical and psychological aggression that any human being can suffer regardless of their sex, but generally women are the ones who suffer from many abuses for the simple fact of continuing to maintain that retrograde thoughts believing that they are the weaker sex. In addition, when we talk about prostitution, slavery and white slave trade, it is also a type of violence that affects women.
Asserting the aforementioned, the blog Ayuda en Acción in October 2020 states that 1 in 3 women have suffered violence, whether physical, psychological or sexual, usually with partners or ex-partners, and it is for this reason that there are currently a large number of femicides. This happens possibly because society, for the most part, has normalized that the man is the person with authority who runs the household. For this reason, men have grown up with the idea that women should serve them and take care of the home while they work.
It can be said that gender violence against women occurs when there is a lack of respect, constant insults, humiliation, and less appreciation for all the work they do inside and outside the home. These would be just some of the situations that can be considered as violence, although it would also be subject to the laws of protection of women in each country.
Nowadays there are many non-profit foundations to support women that can guide them on what to do in case they are going through any of the unpleasant situations mentioned above, in this sense these types of foundations or organizations in favor of women seek to promote gender equality and thus provide women with the same rights according to the opportunities they have in life.
Therefore, when abuse or any aggressive attitude towards any woman becomes evident, it is advisable to guide them to seek counseling in a foundation where you can get out of this affective process before it is too late, before a tragedy occurs that transcendentally affects the family nucleus.
