I'm sure that we're familiar enough with a man named Jack Ma, especially since he has recently appeared in various media in the world, cause he was missing for several months. well as the founder of one of the largest companies in the world, it's not surprising that everything about him has caught the world's attention...
as the successful businessmen this time, Jack is one of the role models in the business world today. Moreover, he's very active in providing business seminars in various parts of the world to foster entrepreneurial enthusiasm among the younger generation. no wonder he has so many fans .. and I'm one of them ..
I often watch various videos about business and entrepreneurship of him, and the messages he conveyed really help us understand the world of business. commonly, I think that all successful people whether it's Jack Ma, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs all have the same message to achieve their goal, which is hard and consistent work..
but there is one message by Jack Ma that caught my attention, which is about how do we start a business or how do we look for business opportunities? well this one is a common question for someone who still unfamiliar with "what kind of business I wanna do ?"..
Jack Ma said that in starting a business we must look for problems and solve them (A big Problem), and not looking for people's preferences. because it's not a business opportunity for you alone, other people will think the same..then forget it..
for me this is a very sensible business formula, cause I see many successful people building their businesses from solving people's problems, and they made it. Jack Ma is one of them, solving the problem of the Chinese people who wanna sell their products to the international market then he created Alibaba.
Of course looking for business opportunities based on people's preferences is not completely wrong !!! cause many people got succes from this idea as well..
but we have to compete with many people to maximize these opportunities. because many people know it already,. whereas if we do business based on solving people's problems, the competition tends to be small. unless someone else offers a better solution than yours..then you're really in trouble😂
so guys which one do you think is better, a business opportunity based on solving people's problems or opportunities based on people's preferences?
It's true, most of the extremely influential men in the world today found a problem and they provided a solution for it and that is a reason why we need to the same if we desire success.
yes, especially in the midst of technological advances today. we need to find better innovations...

Certainly, the key is to innovate and create a business to solve people's problems, that is the common denominator of successful business people.
Answering your question, I am guided to think that the ideal would be a combination of both, based on a study and analysis of the market.

Jack Ma's advice is correct, a successful business is based on solving the problems that people have and that could be complemented with another very used saying, needs do not exist but we invent them to sell our products.
i think creating business based on "problem solving" is the new way of business, i've read one of book named " Blue Ocean Strategy" ..it gives me idea, wht business looks like today, which is full of blood competitions, and i think to be more innovative based on problem solving is a key to continue our business..
The topic alone gives a great meaning, the discovery/realization of a problem and finding a solution to it is alone to gather great wealth.
