What's business without sales? It will all be for nothing if no one appreciates what you're doing. And no one is willing to deep their hands into their pocket to pay for your goods or services. In my opinion, sales is the most important part of business, because that's where the profits come in. And undoubtedly, every entrepreneur is into his/her business to make profit. That's the primary purpose of business. Passion and happiness derived from your business is secondary in my view.

Let's imagine this, if you're so passionate about your business, but don't make sales, sooner or later, you'll be running at a loss. And inevitably, you'll have to close that business, except you're getting money from somewhere else to keep it running. Which to be sincere isn't rational, as that particular endeavor should be able to sustain itself and even make profits for you.

We have marketing and sales online, but in this post I'll be narrowing it down to offline sales, where you have to meet the client in person. First impression last longest is a popular saying, and it holds true in many circumstances. People will buy you first, as the salesman before they buy what you're selling. They'll assess you quickly and however way they perceive you will determine to a great extent if they'll buy what you're selling or not.

You'll always be addressed by the way you dress. When you're going to meet a client, in fact as a salesman, at all times, you should be very well dressed. You should be looking good. You can never really tell when you'll meet an incredible person who will be willing to do business with you, but if you're badly dressed, you'll most likely lose that opportunity. And if you summon the courage to make the sale, the person will at a quick glance size you up, and if you're not looking good, most likely the person wouldn't do business with you.

Some sales people feel bad that clients shouldn't judge their products or services by the way they themselves present themselves. But it's the absolute reality, people are quick to make conclusions about anyone trying to sell something to them. You shouldn't complain about this, but think of how to use this human nature to your greatest advantage. Since they want to buy things from someone really cool, then simple, you should look really cool.

Personally, there's been many cases when I've bought something simply because the sales person is incredibly good. I felt completely convinced to buy the goods, plus the person really looked attractive. Lovely perfumes, nice ties, sparkling shoes, designer wrist watch, all these rather flashy things go a long way to move a client to say yes to your proposal. Also I want to make it clear that when I say salesman, I don't only refer to the individual whose job is basically to sell. I'm also referring to the business owner, whose looks and reputation, and attraction go a long way to increase sales as well.

The fact is that everyone wants to be associated with a star. A salesman should always present himself like a start. Looking so attractive like the musicians and movie stars. This way, people long of an opportunity to even speak to you, simply because you look so attractive. Getting them to buy your product will become much easier, because they already like you. Hence, you must always appear glamorous that people getting your products or services feel privileged to be doing business with you.

Hello friend, sales is a key tool for any business, it is necessary to enhance that aspect in all people, because customers need a good salesman, otherwise they will not attract their attention. Greetings and thanks for sharing.

Sales is the most important thing in business in my opinion. A good salesman will always attract attention like a superstar. That's an important strategy. As a salesman, when you enter a room, your perfume and overall presence should make people admire you from a distance. They're already sold before you even talk to them. Thanks for coming around!

Hello @humor0404
Selling is an art,.at some point I worked as a salesman and it was a great learning experience. Beyond the presentation in relation to the wardrobe is the way in which one spoke, the confidence when speaking are things that sell too.

I agree with you, that selling is an art. The truth is that somehow, we're all selling something, an idea or goods or services. Everyone should be well exposed to this skill. And yes, the confidence of a salesman goes a long way in making the client say yes. Thanks for coming around!

Greetings @humor0404, very accurate your post because people who own their own business or simply work for others, must maintain not only the image of the business or the product offered, but also their own image, be well presented, respectfully serve the customer, handle a vocabulary appropriate to the situation and most importantly know very well the product you are selling, this way you will succeed in your sale and the customer will return for another product.

Thanks for sharing this post.
