Good day everyone, have not been able to perform some activities on this platform for some days now due to a small illness I had, I wasn’t able to do anything or even eat maybe because my body system need some rest but am getting better now, at least I can think and write. I will love to touch this aspect when it comes to business card, most business always want to have one because is it one marketing tool that help in making people to remember and contact you anytime they are in need of your service but most business especially the smaller one always make certain mistake maybe because they want to cut the cost price or couldn’t give a professional to help them in creating one.

A business card card as little as it is, have many purpose it is serving and should be create without omitting your important information which include your business name, the address, contact phone numbers, the email address and even the website address if you have one, these are very vital. There should be means to contact you when they need you, most business don’t want to insert their address which is one thing people do look at, they need to know your location at least. In case you cant insert that maybe because you are working from home, you can always apply for post office box at any ups store or even if it is a virtual office address and if you cant, always insert they city and state on your business cards at least to allow people to know your business or company is located somewhere.

Poor Quality

One thing that disqualify business card and render it useless is the quality, I do wonder how you will make a card that is feather-light when hold, or not water resistance, the ink will start fading away. Stop cutting cost when it come to business cards, what you should be aiming for is the one of good stock paper, one with an attractive logo, card that wont peel off when water pour on it. Your card serve as your business ambassador, if it not of good quality, people might think your business is of poor quality also.

Unreadable front

Some people don’t even know the normal business card size which is around 3.5 by 2 inches. Some will do something small and squeeze all their details inside it using smaller fonts size which will be unbearable to read. You don’t expect me to order for magnifying glass just to read what your business is all about. Simplicity is the best, you don’t need every details on a business card because it will look unprofessional, you need to sort out the vital details.

Most important things we need to see is your name, company name, your services and how they can reach. As simple as that. Instead of squeezing, make use of the back also and the color is very important too don’t over load the card with colors and don’t use color like grey on white.

After heeding to this details, always learn to take your cards with you every where you go, give it out instead of keep them at home, it is either you use them or lose them, you have to pick one. Give extra and let it be pass across to those in need of your services.
