I talked about self-publishing the last time and I couldn’t complete it, self-publishing is now the latest escape way to writers out there who are wiling to publish one book or the other without passing through the normal traditional way of publishing which is somehow difficult and have lot of hindrance and at times rejection. Even those popular author out there now do everything themselves or employ those that will do it for them while they monitor the whole process.

Imagine that amount of time, sales wont come quick and it might not sell for months because people might not be interested in it when it hit market.

Publishing yourself give you right to have receive 70% at least for what you publish while the remaining can go to expenses. Also you have every write to claim the owner of what you wrote instead of the traditional way where you only act as the writer and they put you under some conditions which give them the full write over what is yours. If you have the courage and things to go into self-publishing, go for it and take charge.

I still remember I once saw a book of about 10 years still selling in the market, like people are really buying it because it is it full of wisdom. Let say it is the traditional method, your publication will be cut short and another publication will surely take it place.

As they use to say, what have an advantages will surely have some disadvantages, there some disadvantages that might want to hinder people from going into self-publishing. Nothing comes easy, going into self-publishing will make you feel alone because you have to do lot of things by yourself and also the marketing part because you wont receive any marketing support. Those that aren’t good with marketing will have to struggle to survive or find other means. The best you can do to sort this out is to send out free copies of your book to maybe different authors that are in your field or reviewers. This can help you in the marketing aspect.

Also it will be somehow hard to have your own editorial team unlike traditional publishing which always have this people working together as a team. You will need to hire people in the field to work with you and make it a success. Don’t give up without starting, see it to the end and get that write-up publish.
