One of my favorite portraits I have ever taken
I love this photo
Week 8 for the Portrait Photography Contest is underway and I was trying to find a good entry for this contest. I have done some recent photo shoots, but I wanted to share one of my favorite shots that I have ever taken.
I took this photo outside of a small church near Arusha, Tanzania. We had just got done with a Maasai church service and these kids were hanging out near the water spigot.
The child in the photo had dirt and mud on him from them playing in the water and the children seemed excited to get their pictures taken. I really like the main child's expression and the pose of the child in the background as well. I won a couple awards for this photo and it was published in a travel calendar as well, but the main reason I like this photo is that it brings me back to that hot day in Tanzania where I spent the day with some amazing people and felt the love from their whole congregation.
Would you visit Nigeria?
I would love to. I plan on doing a lot of traveling with my wife once the kids move out.
That'll be great. I could be your tour guide.
Beautiful photo and I love it too ,thanks for sharing this photo with us
Thank you
You are welcome
One of those rare photos where the subject is looking at the camera, without actually looking at the camera. Very natural expression.
Thanks man.
I agree, real nice capture all the way around!
Thanks
Don´t know all your other portraits but this one is definitely a perfect shot.
Thanks. I am really happy with how it turned out.
very good portrait photography is also documentary. congratulations. technically successful. sepia tones had a dramatic effect. I like
His smile is contagious, and nobody can ignore a boy who is walking behind carrying an unmatchable attitude.
This picture certainly speaks bro❣️

Thanks. They were a fun group.
Reminds me about that Michael Jackson video that he shot in Africa. This pic though has more positive vibes in it, knowing that kids were playing and got dirty.
I haven't seen that one. I will have to look it up.
Stunning photo!
Superb Portrait man!
Cheers! 🤘
