ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE / KISS 🎼🎼🎼

"Rock and Roll All Nite" is a song by the band Kiss and is considered a classic piece of classic rock. The song appears on the album Dressed to Kill released in 1975.

On its release, the single of the song reached only #57 on the Billboard singles chart. In October 1975 a live version was released and reached #12. Since then this song has become an emblem of Kiss being one of the most identifiable tunes of the band that used flashy masks.

"Rock and Roll All Nite" was written by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons while the band was in Los Angeles as part of their Hotter Than Hell tour. The tour was short-lived (until February 1975) because the album Hotter than Hell was not as successful as expected. Due to this, Neil Bogart who owned Casablanca Records ordered the band to record a new single but this one to be a rock and roll based anthem... the result was this great song.

The song was inspired by the band Slade hit song Cum on Feel the Noize, which is often quoted by the band in live performances.

It is said that in the composition of the song, Stanley wrote the chorus and Simmons wrote the verses based on an old song he had written called "Drive Me Wild".
The recording of the chorus involved all the band's roadies, the studio musicians and the occasional wife of the band members.

Rock and Roll All Nite also became an eighties anthem despite being recorded a decade ago and in the words of Gene Simmons, this song is "the national anthem of rock".

"I want to rock and roll all night and party every day."
