That is a beautiful if unusual writing form that you have for this piece. It's almost a throwback to the style of Shakespeare time with the way that you have formed your phrases and created the picture.

Whatever era that you write form the message holds just as true now as it did back then. Our mentality does change over time form our youth to our old age and priorities change as we grow older. We have more need to prepare and have wealth since we have more responsibilities and less energy as we age.
