Following the security issues faced by EasyFi Network and the decision of the team to rectify the whole issue with a hard fork.

After the theft of around 2.98 Million $EASY token from the Easy contract which was a well planned sophisticated attack on the founder's machine by a hacker, the Easy team is trying to investigate and trace the hacker but it seems to be time-consuming, so with the interest of the community at heart, the team resulted in the creation of a new token to replace $EASY and drafted an interim compensation plan while also having a final round of discussion with stakeholders and partners.

$EASY is now $EZ

The team created $EZ token to replace $EASY and since EasyFi Network operates on three different networks, all addresses holding EASY will be credited with the new $EZ token, and the #EasyFi token ticker was changed as well.

The changes made to the $EASY token will reflect on all 3 chains where $EASY is present and the following are the other details:

• The total supply of the new $EZ token will remain the same as the previous token which is 10 Million, and the distribution ratio will be 1 $EASY for 1$EZ.

• The contract address of the new token will change on both Ethereum and BSC
  Ethereum - 0x00aba6fe5557de1a1d565658cbddddf7c710a1eb
  BSC - 0x5512014efa6Cd57764Fa743756F7a6Ce3358cC83

• On all exchanges, the #EasyFi token will now be known as $EZ, both CEXs and DEXs.

• EasyFi will make sure to integrate all partner applications on EasyFi earlier before the whole change.

The team has taken a snapshot to obtain on-chain balances of user's addresses. 1st snapshot before the incident happened and 2nd snapshot while there were considerable on-chain trading activities ongoing.

The purpose of taking two different snapshots is to thoroughly assess the user addresses affected due to the attack and to calculate on-chain trading activities for a fair distribution of the new EASY V2 token.
