Dreams and Sacrifices | Priority Game

Everyone has a desire for a certain destination where they wanna reach in the end. We can all it the dreams or maybe the end goal. It's the place where there is no more future we could imagine further. Our procrastination end there, nothing beyond that.

These desires and goals are started even from childhood. When looking back at first we all had some stupid dreams. Maybe that wasn't a stupid dream, but now we think about it that way. Because when we are a child our dreams don't have any barriers, our thoughts weren't prisoned.

Gradually like everyone in the world we also started trying to adjust with the reality, we realised that the world is not like in those fairy tales.

It's good to have enlightenment but if we look around we could see that everyone's just like us. They all are tired of reality and there's no change happening in most one's lives.

Maybe we need that kid's mindset which is filled with the idea of 'everything's possible'. We need to accept reality and find ways to perceive our dreams in this reality. We grew up being told that the world is just like this and we need to live our lives inside these rules. It's some belief we needed to break first.

When we know what we want and the path we needed to take half the job is done. The next part is the people we meet through the journey. The good, bad and the ugly one's. We needed to deal with all these kind of people.

We need to stay away from the bad, learn to deal with the ugly and hold up with the good as long as we can. Sometimes there will be people who love you more than themselves.

Those times, to go forward we needed to make sacrifices, we may have to leave even the good ones behind. All these pain in leaving something behind are also part of the journey.

The movie "La La Land" deals with this subject romantically, filled with great music and dance, like a fairy tale. At first, we may think that it's just another cliche love story, eventually, it evolves.

We can see Seb and Mia who loves each other and who have their own dreams to follow. For Seb, it's his own Jazz club and For Mia, It's being an actress. We will be attracted to the couple shortly, but reality plays the villain.

The ending of the movie is about our perspectives. If you think it as a happy ending, then it is one. They both get what they desired. Seb creates his Jazz Club and Mia becomes the actress. But they are not together now, their dreams separated them and took on two different paths, if that's what you think then it's a sad ending.

There will be stages like this in our life also, the time to leave something we love behind. But we can choose what we wanted. The better way is to keep both the dream and the loved ones close, as long as we can.

When it's time to make a choice, ask the questions of "What matters more?".

I am yet to watch this Oscar winner movie. Was it the winner? I think it was between lala land and moonlight that the Oscars screwed up. Anything look how easily I get strayed away from the topic.

But I totally agree If a kid has the resources and freedom to do what they want the world would be a completely different place.

My goals were never cleared. After watching Rambo I wanted to join the army and after watching superman I wanted to settle in Justice league. And sometimes a doctor or an astronaut. Never been at able to stay with a same thought. Maybe that's how I ended doing nothing till now. 🤣

Yeah for me too, the dreams are always changing. It's hard to settle somwhere.

The oscar winner was Moonlight, but at first they made a mistake at the announcement. The movie is superb.

I haven't watched either of those. A lot to catch-up I guess. 😁
