Splinterlands - Unlocked Champion's league for the very first time
This is the very first time in history I'm unlocking Champion's league. I'm glad to announce that I have reached the Champion III league this season. When I initially started playing this game, I thought it was impossible to reach champion's league and today I'm glad that I'm reaching champion's league with ease. Till last season it was a little difficult to reach this level because my card levels were not sufficient and I didn't even take extra efforts to reach the next league and I was just happy with the Diamond I league itself.
This time I saw that my rating was increasing consistently and I wanted to give it a try to reach the next level. I know Champion III was nearby and it was doable. I had the same feeling the previous season as well. I did not do any big upgrades to the summoners or other cards this season. So, if it was possible to reach Champion III this season, I guess it should have been possible to reach in the previous season as well. It is just that I didn't try enough. But I'm happy that I was able to reach at least now.
This gives me great motivation and a decent prize to play the game regularly. I have been playing this game for over a year now and initially, I didn't invest anything into this game except my time and now after seeing good progress investing a little, I thought I would at least upgrade my summoners and see how my profile grows. With the Champion III league, I will be getting 80 loot chests from the season end rewards.
I was also able to reach my highest rating record with this. The above stats look pretty decent. I also achieved 31 games winning streak a few months back which was also a big achievement for me. I don't even know if anyone else would be there to break that record. One good thing about this game is that we don't have to compare so much with others and try to break other's records. We have our own records to break and that makes the game more peaceful and interesting. I have not tried my luck on tournaments so far and I heard it from some of my friends that it is not as great as it used to be before. But when I have some extra time to spend, I might as well try tournaments.
A worthy investment
I have to also admit that this would have not been possible if I had not done any investment in this game. There is a possibility to just play as a free player in the game but it would have taken years to progress in the game. I was getting some decent rewards now and then but after doing some decent investment into the game by purchasing some summoner cards and by upgrading the other cards that I use regularly, my journey was very smooth. I still think that it is a worthy investment for the new gamers as well.

That's great to know, I played drugwars for quite some time but the lack of time is not allowing me to try the game.
I even played drug wars and I stopped playing the game after I realized that the game concept was not long-lasting and they were exploiting the system. But I did make an ROI from drug wars. I then joined Splinterlands and it has been a great journey I should say.
Actually, you don't need too much time for this. Spending one hour per day should be enough for this to go slow and steady. Some people even spend like 24 hours on this game which may not be required. And by the way if you are planning to get started, you can use my referral. ;)

I feel like there is no point in playing drugwars now. I was very active in the beg and when they had nice STEEM payouts.

Their game model was very bad and when people tried to explain it to them, they never listened. The big investors got screwed and their investments were only distributed as daily rewards. But the game UI was pretty awesome. I have to definitely appreciate that. A nice game but a bad management team.
Ha ha ha that's right. I have that problem too. Sometimes even I find it hard to spend that one hour. 😀

I have been binge playing in and off for a year now. All organically and it is a pretty slow ride. While I recently unlocked gold, butbinly due to upgrading summoners. I'm determined to do it organically though. Upgrading with rewards and crypto earned!
Yes, that's great. Even I did organically for some time and realized that the process was not very great. Then I decided to purchase some big summoners. The progress started getting better. Congrats on your Gold league. Cheers!
Congrats on getting to the championship league! I made it last season to Champ lvl 2, it was so tough!
Apparently in the next season, they are going to make it even more difficult to achieve champion league because there won't be a win streak bonus.
@steemmonsters would have to confirm this, there is also probably a post about it... just going off memory!

Oh that's pretty bad. Without bonus it can be really challenging. Yesterday too I actually lost hope and then a bonus from winning strak helped me do bigger jumps with the rating.
