Back to Hacking!!!

Well not really hacking 'Hacking' as that is illegal and even if I did do that, I am not stupid to openly admit that on a blockchain. XD

But after 2-3 years I finally started participating again on CTF's (Capture The Flag) competitions which is kinda like a competition for White Hat Hackers?! You know the good guys. Not the Hackers hackers. XD The guys who work on Information Security.. well kinda.

My skills are only 'meh' btw. Not that good but also not that bad. XD I got to know this kind of thing when I was working on an Anti-Virus company years ago.

Anyways, the CTF competition I entered just for fun is BCACTF's competition. I think this CTF is focused more on High-School level or beginner-to-intermediate ones which is just right my alley. XD

Since the competition is still ongoing, I am not gonna share my answers here, although most contestants probably already know the answer to the ones I have answered though.

The category I focused on answering first was 'WEB' as the other categories requires me to run/install some programs first to which I have not yet installed them on my desktop. I do have them on my laptop but I'm too lazy to open that one up just for this. XD

Or something like this where you are challenged to break into the log.in page to get the 'FLAG'.

I also stried solving some FORENSICS challenge like this one where one is given a ZIP FILE within a ZIP FILE within a ZIP FILE within a ZIP FILE .... 1000 ZIP FILES!!!

I already encountered a challenge like this before though so I just run through my code from years ago. XD

Also tried to take a challenge on cracking the password of a ZIP file.

I did use a different password cracker for this challeenge as the hint somehow pointed to this PW cracker. I used JackTheRipper years ago though. I was able to find some possible passwords but can't extract the FLAG so I am most likely doing sosmething wrong here. Lol So this one is still not yet solved by yours truly. XD

Also tackled some ENCRYPTION challenges but only answered 1 so far. LOL Most encryption challenges are RSA to which I think I could get 2 if I just turn on my laptop as the codes I used back then where on there. I could just straight up replace the variables.

Anyways, yeah it was FUN Challenge! Well it was fun since it's on my level which are the easy ones. LOL
