El-Gibbor, Your Mighty Hero

In Isaiah 9:6, the Bible recorded that Isaiah prophesy the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the concluding part, he mention His names. "His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God..."

I begin to wonder how many Jews were there that day listening as Isaiah prophesied these beautiful words and by the time he gets to calling the name "The Almighty God"... The whole place suppose to have been filled with shaken God's presence. Jesus is the only way, the truth and life. If anyone want to get to the father, it is only through Jesus.

Have you ever thought of the name "The Almighty God"? Come with me, let's try some examples to show you what this name means. Assuming, a guy take out an fully fleshed iron rod and said, he will bend it. Any structural engineer or civil engineer will be quick to say sorry you can't. But if he eventually bent it with his bare hands. It means he has demonstrated a superior strength over materials strength/natural strength. Then we can say wow, this guy is mighty. To us he is a champion, we want to always put him first in the battle field because you know he is got strength to withstand any first attack.

Do you know in Hebrew, the almighty God is called El-Gibbor, meaning, the Lord our Hero. He is your God and hero. He is your superior being to be put in front of your battle.

"Why are you battling alone when you have The almighty God to put in front?"

He is your super God, He has demonstrated his mighty hands over the strong both in the Bible and in our days. When anyone thinks he can mess with you, El Gibbor shows up against him or her.

Put Him in front of you today, stay right behind Him and watch Him paralyze the enemy for you. He is your mighty hero. Praise God.
