Some Pictures from my Garden so far this Summer!
Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you're all having a great weekend so far, things have been pretty nice around here. Weather has been great, not too hot, not too cold. One of the perks of living in southern California. I realized a few days ago that I hadn't shared any garden pictures so far this year, so I went out and snapped a few.
My garden is nothing to brag about, I've not spent enough time taming it this year. My tomatoes are overgrown, I have weeds along the side of the house... But the peppers are looking really happy and healthy, on the plus side!
First up, my cherry tomatoes that are going crazy and I can't harvest them fast enough:
My cherry tomatoes are very happy this year, which is great because they are great in salads or just straight off the vine. I have several other tomatoes including a Roma variety, it's finally producing a lot of tomatoes as well, and they taste great!
My real pride and joy this year has to be my peppers. Most of the plants I started over from seed this year, last year's plants just weren't thriving after the cooler winter months. My Jalapenos are very happy and producing like crazy:
My Shishito peppers are growing like weeds. I love these things, they are mild peppers that cook up well in most Asian recipes with soy sauce and ginger. Try them out if you get a chance!
I have some climbing string beans as well, they are slow starting to produce, but finally starting to see some coming on the plants!
Last but not least my tomatillo plants. If you like green salsa, this is the main ingredient. These are huge bushes out of control but producing like crazy. I am already roasting and freezing these up for later use.
That's a peak at my garden, at least some of it. I'll share more later on. I do have a bunch of Jalapenos to pickle up this week. I usually share a post when I do. I hope you're having a great summer far, or winter down south!

The garden is taking over at your place
It really is, those tomatoes and tomatillos just grow like weeds. The peppers are much easier to control thank goodness!

Thanks, some orchard grass pops up next to the house. Orange county used to be all orange groves, sot that grass is still around all these years later...

I'd love to sit in your garden and munch on those juicy cherry tomatoes. The roma tomatoes we could use for some pasta, I could actually finish at least four plates of pasta, lol. Ah... so good.
Weird that when I was younger I used to enjoy eating chillies, but find myself struggling with spicy food now. Guess the Korean fire chicken noodles (have you tried?) ruined my taste buds... ah, hell level of spice, how can people eat that? Damn.

You're welcome to visit any time you want! I have lots of tomatoes. Too much of those Korean fire noodles did your taste buds in, lol! I don't eat as much spicy stuff as I used too either, but I still enjoy pickled jalepenos!

I'm glad your climate isn't too hot, not too cold; here in Northern Italy it's still very warm. I notice your garden produces excellent tomatoes. Tomatoes, besides being very versatile in the kitchen, also have interesting nutritional properties. They are a good source of vitamin C.
Wow, you have a beautiful garden, and so much is growing in there. Looking at your Tomotao bushes, I remember my harvest last year. I had grown it in my backyard and they grew in abundance. This year I could not because of the travelling issues.
