Happy new week to everyone. Trust we all had a memorable weekend? It's a new week, new day and the beginning of new adventures in life. Even though we always don't want our weekends to run as fast as they do but we don't have a choice. We can not stop or hold the hands of time. It's beyond our power and control. All we need to do is to flow with the tides - work when we are suppose to work and rest when it is time for rest.

Moving forward, the world is opening gradually as some major and key activities have commenced. About two or three months ago it seems like the novel Covid-19 pandemic, also known as Coronavirus would never leave our midst but today the curve is beginning to flatten and people can go about their daily activities with little or no fear of the deadly virus, provided all preventive and safety measures are in place.

Some evacuation international flights have commenced operations to return Citizens and Nationals of some countries to their own countries after they have been stranded for about three (3) months due to the virus. For instance, I met one of my close friend who was scheduled to return to Nigeria, in late March but has been stucked in USA due to the pandemic. The inflow of flights is an obvious indication that the world is opening up.

Also, graduating students in Secondary schools in Nigeria commenced their Final exams last week or thereabout with a handful of social distancing mode enabled. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 2020 is written by all the five English speaking West African countries - Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia. It is believed that the authorities would not have opened schools for this examination if the curve is not flattening.

This is also the reason for a lot of vehicular movements all around the city. The rate of traffic is increasing day by day because people are back in the street hustling for their daily needs. Some streets are filled up with a lot of commuters to the extent that you'd not believe how it was some months back. Hopefully, we would be back to the norm soon.
