Love With No Regrets
A friend sent me this question today.
This is Nigerian pidgin English which translates,
'What did love make you do that you now regret as you remember?'
I thought hard about this and just couldn't place one thing I regret doing out of love. Sure, I have been hurt by the actions of some people I care or once cared about, my affections for them probably rubbished, it still doesn't take away the fact that whatever I did for or because of them was from a place of sincerity.
There's a song I love that goes,
Love is patient, caring, love is kind
Love is felt most when it's genuine
I've had my share of love abuse
Manipulated and it's strength misused
The love that propels my actions towards people might wean eventually but I don't have regrets. I don't get it. Why wish you could withdraw things you did that made you feel good? Would you rather not be of help to a helpless person? Wouldn't you want to satisfy your conscience by doing right by the world? Is it really love if we end up regretting?
Even when you find no peace in your lover's eyes and your hearts don't sync no more, when your heart aches uncontrollably and you wonder why love should hurt, remember, your love is too precious and pure to be regretted.

Sometimes I think back at some shit I did in the name of love and I kinda feel some type of way about it. Maybe it's regret or maybe it is some other fancy English word.
Meanwhile, you wanted to say "wane" and it showed as wean.
