My First Experience riding a bicycle.

Hello Everyone on the #Cyclingcommunity. Hope we're doing great.

Today I will be sharing my first experience riding a bicycle. I will say it was a mixed reaction full of excitement and pain.

Growing up in an environment where everyone knew how to ride a bicycle and I was the only one that never showed interest to learn. I grew up in the midst of three boys so when they started riding a bicycle I felt cycling was a boy's activity.
But growing up I discovered a lot of girls in my environment were riding bicycles and I do feel embarrassed. Each time they ride their bicycle around the environment I just sit to watch them. I still never felt I should try riding a bicycle and because of that most of them never wanted to be friends with me. The shocking one was when my mum gave birth to my sister and growing up she knew how to ride a bicycle that was what challenged me to learn how to ride a bicycle so the first day i summoned up courage to learn riding a bicycle it was really an exciting one and also a painful experience because i fell countless times from the bicycle and in the process got injured. But funny enough I was not even bothered about it. All that was in my mind was to successfully ride a bicycle so that I can also compete with the girls in my environment. When they showcase their cycling skills I will also join them to cycle.

So that day amidst the falls and injuries I was still able to learn how to ride a bicycle because I was determined to learn. And that alone made me promise to teach my female children how to ride bicycles from a tender age so they get to learn earlier.
So one could imagine my happiness when my fellow girls saw me ride a bicycle perfectly and they were cheering me on and since then they began to be friends with me. It was my best experience. It was fun, exciting and painful but the Good thing was that i learnt amidst the pains.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I still remain @giftakpan.

Falls are common when learning to ride a bike, the important thing is to get up and keep trying. I'm glad you learned, as this is a wonderful means of transportation, recreation and exercise.
