Eat more veggies

My parents used to nag me in my childhood back then because I don't eat my vegetables. Now they're worry about me slowly having more vegetables on my diet and eat less meat. They thought I am in serious financial difficulty because I chose to eat vegetables more than the higher tag price meat. I just explained to them I'm getting old(in my early 30's now) and need to take my health more serious by eating healthier and cut my meat consumption because nowadays the animals is raised in very abusive conditions by the factory farms. Vegetables not cheap too in Japan, especially if they're organics and non GMO. I bought this rare sight Romanesco broccoli somedays ago when I saw @plantstoplanks bought it and posted them on her blog. I just fry mine with chopped garlic and add some fish sauce, and it's taste so delicious. My first time eating this broccoli actually.

I also bought pumpkin and fry them with chopped garlic and mashed them up on the fry pan when they are soft enough.

This is my lazy day vegetables 😂 the edamame.
My toddlers love them all. They like their veggies and I'm glad for that because they are not like me back then where I loathed my veggies.

I might just leave it at “OK boomer”. That is a funny paradox.

Are we neighbors?

I took it as they were just worry about me because as a parent myself I tend to worry about nothing when it comes to my children. Are you in Japan too? I'm somewhere in Matsudo.

Yeah, being a parent sounds like a battle with your own emotions. Good job! Yes, we are neighbors :-)

Yay! Looks delicious! My boyfriend's mom was trying to find one but she hasn't been able to find any near her. I just picked up another head of it this weekend at the farmers market, so I think it's going to go in soup this week. Keep enjoying those yummy veggies!
