Should We Avoid People With Different Perspectives Than Us?
Usually the answer to this is yes.
For me, I will avoid them in real life because it can be too daunting for me because I am an empath and this will drain out my energy fast.
But I will follow them in virtual life where they will share their perspectives and experiences and why they have that kind of perspectives.
Most of the time, if not, I will learn a lot from them through their lens of truth because I got to understand the feelings, the experiences that they have gone through their life without me going through the same situation as them; in order for me to learn something and grow from the lessons they have learned through their experience from their own lens of truth.
In other words, I could learn the same lessons that I don’t have yet to experience myself, from them theoretically without actually going through the experience practically in real life.
Isn't that amazing?
We could learn from each other experiences and now it's easier than ever because of the technology and here we have Steem Blockchain to help us put all our experiences in steem as a digital artifact.
It's good to surround ourself with like minded people in order to support us in our journey, but to really grow our soul and innerself we need to experience as much as possible the life has to offer to us, we can simply do that through the observation with empty judgment on other human experience with totally different perspectives/truth than the one we have.
I recommend you to check out the workshop held by @ecotrain @eco-alex on NVC to improve your communication skills with other human for better relationship with them here https://www.naturalmedicine.io/ecotrain/@eco-alex/non-violent-communication-workshop-1-join-us

This is why I say: we still haven't seen the best effects of the internet fully play out...imagine 100 years of us getting to see each other intimately around the world in different circles. Imagine where we'd be now without the internet! none of us would know each other. This has only been a thing for 15 years or so

You're right ... it continues to unfold and create new prisms for us to see and experience one another through!

I know it's easy to find things to complain about the internet, but the good outweighs to the bad exponentially!
