The symbol of the city of Vienna - (Stephansdom) - built a mixture of romantic and gothic style
The capital of Austria, Vienna, lies on a beautiful blue Danube.
My visit to the city of Vienna, for centuries this city has been of great importance, rich in history, this metropolis is also called the city of music because of the great artists who lived there, such as Beethoven or Mozart.
In the very center of Vienna is the Stephansdom Cathedral. Due to its picturesque roof, which is made like a mosaic and a 136.7 m high tower that dominates the view of the city, it is impossible not to notice and photograph such interesting architecture.
Why it is a mixture of two different architectures, is the reason why a church in the romantic style was once built on this place, which unfortunately burned down in 1258, only the western parts of the facade can be seen.
The cathedral was renovated in 1263, also in a romantic style, although in 1304 the construction of a new church in the Gothic style began.
The new church was built according to some plans of the architect, so that the new church was built around the old one, which means that the walls of the old church remained in the interior, which were later demolished.
The tower on the north side of the cathedral remained unfinished, and work on it was interrupted.
At the very entrance there is a coat of arms with a flag. Vienna's Gothic cathedral is 107 meters long and 34 meters wide.
CATHEDRAL BELLS:
In St. Stephen's Cathedral, there are 23 bells, but only 20 are in use. The largest bell, which is the second largest in Europe, is called Pummerin, part of the old bell of the same name, which was destroyed in a fire in 1945. The bell is located in the western part of the tower.
INTERIOR OF THE CATHEDRAL:
After visiting this cathedral, the interior and it was best photographed because there were a lot of tourists, but what can be seen is that the interior of this church is very luxurious.
Large chandeliers, thick concrete arches, individual figures and frescoes that I managed to notice next to the crowd of tourists.
one of the interesting facts is that Mozart's wedding was held in this cathedral, after nine years his funeral was also held.
In front of the church there are carriages with horses, which can be used to ride through the city, to observe all the beauties of this city.
This city, which has long been one of the seats of world political power, first as the capital of the Austrian Empire and then the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, never leaves anyone indifferent, is really worth a visit.

The structure is majestic, especially the interior.
Thanks, the pictures of the interior are a bit darker, but unfortunately there were a lot of tourists, so I didn't really have any access to take nice photos.
You're welcome (^_^)
