Shadow Hunters Contest Round 178 Entry ~ Shadows In The Lobby

avatar

This is my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest Round 178 which is hosted by @melinda010100! You can learn more about the Shadow Hunters Contest and how to enter HERE!

Lol ... my title "Shadows In The Lobby" could easily be a story of spookiness on a vacation trip but instead it is literally some pretty shadows that I caught in the lobby at the condominium that my husband and I stayed at recently. The condo is at the Sea Watch in Ocean City, Maryland. We decided to check out the amenities on site and I spotted these shadows in the lobby there. The first photo is my entry.

These were some interesting plants that had a very nice sunny spot to hang out in even though they weren't really 'hanging plants''! 😁

There looked to be a small Evergreen type plant in the corner but the other plants were pineapple plants! Pretty cool! Some people may think that pineapples grow on a tree but they actually grow on a plant like the ones in my photos.

Upon closer inspection I noticed two things and the first thing had me wondering who exactly confiscated the pineapple off of this one plant?! I'm guessing it was property management but you just never know. It could've easily been someone visiting who decided to harvest it. I would never do such a thing myself and am happy just to steal a few photos instead!

The second thing that I noticed later when I was looking over my photos is that I not only caught inside shadows but, evidently, I caught some outside shadows as well!

Well, you know I was just pleasantly pleased to see that! I knew there were some out in the courtyard but most of my courtyard photos were planned for a different post. This next photo is pretty indicative of the shadows that were outside in the courtyard though.

Here are a couple of photos taken from the opposite side of the lobby.

My last photo is a very small collage of edits that I did on the outside shadows. Hmm .. all of a sudden I find myself craving some pineapple! Definitely putting that on my grocery list. It's delicious, good for you and perfect on a summer day! 🍍

Thanks Melinda!! Was definitely not expecting them either! It was a great spot for them in front of that big window and I'm glad I spotted them while out and about! 😊

Great looking shadows Dee. Interesting how they are displayed on stools. Love the pineapples and had to smile at the one taken from the plant.
Tip!

Thanks so much Jo!! The pineapple plants sure had a great spot in front of that big window. I could see and feel why they would grow well there. It was pretty cool to see the little pineapples growing on the plants. 😊💕

hello dear friend @deerjay good afternoon
Good work, I loved your post, the images of shadows that you have hunted are really very beautiful. You have good taste in taking pictures. Excellent shots. Congratulations
I'm not surprised who took the pineapple from that plant, I'm surprised that the rest are still there.
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid afternoon

Hi @jlufer and thank you very much!! Lol.. that is true and I wonder how long the other ones will stay on the plant. I also wondered if they were even ripe enough to pick! I've only seen them in grocery stores and not on a plant. I got lucky in that I went for my walk when I did and the sun was shining through the big window. 🌞Wishing you a lovely weekend!! 💖
