Loquat plant.

It’s a fruit tree that grows to a height of about 30 meters high. It produces fruit in clusters. It’s a tree native to Central America, South America and Mexico. It is widely distributed in the world and its scientific name is the Manilkara Zapota.

It produces many branches which give a great shade to rest under this freshness that offers and with the delicious aroma that gives off with its fruits and leaves it’s very pleasant.

The fruit is brown in color, with a round to oval shape. The peel has a rough texture, the pulp is very fleshy and sweet tasting and the seeds are black in color and shiny in appearance with a smooth surface.

Although the ripe fruit is very sweet it does not contain many calories but it’s a fruit to consume with much enthusiasm since its medicinal properties are abundant.

It contains antioxidant which makes it an ideal fruit to combat neoplastic diseases, as it is anti-cancer, regenerative, anti-aging, among others. By eating this delicious fruit we can fight cancer, don't you think it's great? It’s also important in stopping diarrhea due to its high content of pectins. In addition to this, it favors gastric emptying, which produces a feeling of satiety for all those who are in favor of diets.

It also reduces inflammation of the gastric mucosa and intestines due to its tannin content. So for people suffering from gastritis and colitis this is the right fruit to consume daily.

It contains iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium that for hypertensive patients who use diuretics or bladder emptying stimulants is great. Potassium is reduced in their blood values when hypertensive patients urinate abundantly so the consumption of this fruit stimulates the good renal function and regulates the blood pressure in case of copious loss of liquids.

In addition, its consumption is interesting because the fruit is high in fiber and helps patients to lower their blood cholesterol levels.

For all these reasons it is important for many diseases, so it is interesting to keep this fruit at home. Don't you think so?

Coming to this place and seeing all these trees in a row with so many fruits makes you want to not want to go home without taking one of these trees to enjoy every day. I brought their shadows and some fruit, so I will have to make do with this.

Bringing home fruit AND shadows makes it a very successful shadow hunting trip! Great post. I have never eaten fresh loquat.
