Three shadows, three plants and three flowers.

The third year of Shadowhunting is being celebrated and I have brought to the anniversary contest three shadows of three beautiful plants and each has three flowers on their branches. This is my gift and I hope you like it.

First is the shadow of my land orchid plant, Spathoglotis Plicata, with its three orchid flowers on one spike. This little orchid is no taller than 5 cm but its color and flower details are the most striking thing it has. Its flowered spike can last more than 15 days blooming. It’s a pleasure to have it in the garden because of its color.

Second is the Tradescantia Sillamontana plant, with its three lilac flowers. The flowers also have three petals and in their center they combine with the yellow pistils. The leaves are elongated and textured as they have hairs on their leaves and stems that give them a woolly appearance. Its branches are flexible and tend to fall in waterfalls. It’s a good idea to decorate by hanging them in baskets and away from direct sunlight, they are also resistant to the lack of liquid.

And after that is the shadow of the Euphorbia Milli with three bouquets of red flowers. This Euphorbia, although it seems to be very similar to the cactus, it’s not part of the cacti. On the stem it has abundant long thorns which is why it’s usually called the “Crown of Christ”. It’s in its stem where they keep the largest reserve of water, so it’s not a good idea to overdo it and give it lots of water since that risks rotting the stems and roots.

These are the shades that I brought for the contest. Although I have not participated in it for three years, I can say that I have been coming to this contest for a long time in which I am pleased to participate because of the warmth offered by @melinda010100 and friends @annephilbrick and @nelinoeva in their respective collaborations for so long.

Such beautiful flowers for our 3 year celebration! I love learning about all your beautiful. I read a book a while ago about John Tradescant. Tradescantia is named for him. He found it growing in the 'New World' and returned with it to England where it was planted in the Queens garden. He was a fascinating man. Again, thanks for the delightful flowers of 3!♥️

Oh wow, it's a great story from the discoverer of this specie. Thank you and I am glad that you liked my theme to celebrate 3 years with three shadows, three plants and three flowers.
