In the shadow of the popular dance
One of the great curiosities that John Barry raised in that authentic song to eternal youth, which is Peter Pan, is that he had to make real efforts to hold a shadow that was even much more restless than him, which is already saying .
The good thing about popular dances, apart from being a cultural treasure that gets lost a little more every day, cornered by the culture of debauchery, is that sometimes the shadows of the dancers seem to follow the same path as the indomitable shadow of Peter Pan, as if deep down it was true that dancing, after all, gives you wings.

Seguridad, elegancia y amplitud, las tres características de una buena ejecución gimnástica, y estos ejecutantes del baile la tienen, desde adentro.
Escucho a los músicos.
Las sombras toman el protagonismo.
Me tomo un trago y me lanzo al ruedo, a ver si mi sombra me acompaña.
Caray, no te hacía levantado todavía. Estas fotografías y muchas más, las saqué la última vez que asistí a las fiestas de la matanza en un pueblo perteneciente a la comunidad de Madrid, donde la hostelería, para ir saliendo adelante, organiza estas timbas, en un intento de ir saliendo a flote y además, sacar el negocio adelante, lo que me parece muy oportuno. Salvo en las fiestas populares y en las romerías, estas danzas tradicionales, y lo digo con mucha pena, están a punto de desaparecer. Ya ocurrió en la posguerra y fue, precisamente, la Sección Femenina de Falange quien intentó darles un impulso para que no terminaran desapareciendo. Pero a mí me parecen sencillamente espectaculares. Te pongo un enlace de mi vídeo de Youtube, para que te hagas una idea y escuches, en parte, la musiquilla y el texto de las mismas:
Livianos, los danzantes se mueven, brincan felices como si la vida fuera un vuelo! En los pueblos antiguos la danza era considerada como una forma de rendir tributo a los dioses, para alcanzar sueños y hasta para hablar de sus tragedias. Veo estas fotografías y recuerdo la danza propia de algunos animales, especialmente la de algunas aves e insectos... Qué lástima que no solo se pierdan algunos bailes sino el sentido, sentimiento, por el que se baila. @acostacazorla es un buen bailarín, valga la publicidad, especialmente de salsa! ;)
Ciertamente, los movimientos de los primeros pueblos comenzaron imitando a la naturaleza, como ritos esenciales que se fueron desarrollando con el paso del tiempo. El baile es un buen ejemplo de ello. Pero mira tú que ignoraba esa faceta en nuestro querido amigo @acostacazorla, muy acorde, después de todo, a su profesión. Por desgracia, siempre he sido muy torpe bailando, a pesar de haber sido siempre una persona con una flexibilidad envidiable. Un abrazo
Que bueno, la flexibilidad, o movilidad articular es muy importante, los impulsos nerviosos viajan mejor.
Es un don.
Aquí en el Oriente casi todos sabemos bailar, sobretodo en carúpano que es la tierra del carnaval.
Cuando conocí a mi esposa desde el primer día pensé que era perfecta para mí, y me dije, Dios mío que sepa bailar.
Baila buenísimo.
Lo que más bailó es salsa,música caribeña, pero le meto un poco a todo, hasta vals y pasodoble, ja ja.
Lamentablemente no bailo tango, que me parece bellísimo.

Indeed, it is a pity that all these traditions, which deep down are part of our most ancient roots, are being lost. And in that sense, as you very opportunely say, at least we have the advantage that, to a greater or lesser extent, they can be registered in places like the blockchaim, to give a testimony, as faithful as possible, of other times, of other activities cultural, which may not have been better, but there is no doubt that they also had their charm.
